9.2 Bear who consumes, cat who is consume

The dinner is outrageous and somewhat unbearable for Taehyung who would like to be at home now. He doesn't even know if the free food is worth it. Jimin is sitting next to him. There were no more seats when he came next to Jin.

"Ah! Namjoon! I thought you weren't coming."

"I'll always be willing to come when you pay for the food."

"What a fool. To everyone here: this is Kim Nam-Joon. He's one of the school's top donors for the past year and a close friend." introduces Jin. Namjoon gives a slight bow and is reciprocated in kind. Taehyung gives a snort. Just the thing to ruin this further.

Taehyung doesn't know anything about him other than his name and he already hates him. Not knowing that he would hate him more if he knew what Namjoon thinks about him. It's curious vicious circle. Jimin laughs at the kiss the lion gives him on his temple. Drinks and some of the food is placed on the table.

Jimin starts to drink and there is some encouragement to keep drinking, joking that he's the only one who can stand to drink so much. Taehyung continues with his glass of water and nibbling on whatever is within reach.

"Don't be boring man!" claims Hoseok nudging him and putting the glass with soju in front of him. "Drink some."

"Nono, it gets horrible" Jimin stops. "Better not." He tries to take the glass of soju away. Taehyung takes it and drinks it without thinking. Hoseok laughs through his nose at the face Taehyung makes. His ears flop down and he's horizontal.

"It tastes like shit." he mumbles sticking his head to the table. It causes several chuckles.

"Kid who never drank rum in his life." scoffs Namjoon.

"Rum? Whiskey tastes awful." retorts Jin in disgust.

"I like both." says Jimin.

"Amen." Supports Yoongi by raising the bottle of Soju he's drinking.

Taehyung is left tongue numb and indifferent to how much he eats, the taste of the soju doesn't go away, let alone the dizziness it caused. He eats some things that come to him from the side, unconsciously letting Jimin feed him for not reaching what he does and vice versa. It's a very funny picture, among the teachers present they mutter to each other about it.

"Do you think it's a good choice for him?" asks Namjoon to Jin in a low voice.

"Yes. Just give him some... space."

Namjoon shakes his head, not quite liking it, but if Jin trusts this, he doubts it's a mistake.

Taehyung drinks more shots of Soju almost by mistake and one only willingly. Maybe drinking will help him feel better about it. Forget about it. Drunkenness is a good option almost every time.

Except now that more than one is like that, including Namjoon and Jin.

Hoseok goes from being on Taehyung's side to sitting with Yoongi to spoil his Alpha who laughs and celebrates when more food arrives. In his dizziness he realizes what is happening next to him: Jimin is now on Namjoon's lap, rubbing his cheek with him and the Alpha is getting kisses on his neck from Jin. Taehyung gets up and Jimin follows him with his eyes.

"Just a moment, I'll be right back."

He rushes after Taehyung, enters the bathroom after him. Taehyung pours water on his face.

"Hey are you feeling okay? I can call you a- Ow, ow, Tae-"

Jimin squeezes his eyes for a moment. His grip on his arm hurts, Taehyung is digging his claws into him and from the kiss they are giving each other, he can't complain about it. They turn away abruptly.
