Jaycee’s Point of View:

It’s been about a solid week since I’ve last seen Harry. We are keeping in touch though, but very quietly. He knows that he’s not allowed around here anymore, so I make sure to keep our texts and calls limited, during times that I know my parents aren’t home. Luckily, Harry was recovering, slowly, he tells me. I still couldn’t believe what they, whoever they were – done to him. Honestly, it blew my mind that people could be so cruel to others. The damage that had been done to Harry was inhumane. When I saw him, lying faintly on that hospital bed, it made my stomach turn. Even thinking of it now made me physically ill. But it was good to know that he was okay now, because that was all that really mattered anyhow.

Tonight was quite tedious in my house though, because tonight was the night that my parents had ‘guests’ over. (In reality, they were a couple of friends my dad had. He never did talk much about them.) Usually when these people came over, I would stay in my room the whole night. On occasion, I’d stop by to give my little greets, but I decided to stay out of the way this time. Plus, I found myself in another conversation with Harry.

From; Harry: When can I see you? – Harry

A smile crept upon my very lips after reading that, but I couldn’t let him see me anytime soon. He needed to focus on getting better, not going out.

Sent: Jay: Worry about getting better first, okay. – Jaycee

After sending that message, I cuddled myself under my comforters and turned on my television. Everything on there was tedious and played out, so I was left with really nothing to do. Then I remembered what I was intending to do all of this time – something I felt that was absolutely necessary. Harry wouldn’t approve, no doubt, but if I didn’t find out, I’d never be in peace. Many people call me persistent, but they just had no idea how truly determined I could become. When I want to find out something that someone is hiding for me, I make it a point to go out and discover it for myself.

Pulling my silver laptop onto my lap, I opened it and went straight to my favorite place – Google. ‘Harry Styles’ is what I first typed in, knowing I’d probably get lots of searches. It was too much of a vague Google search, but I gave it a chance. To my surprise, I would a link and description, followed by a small picture of him. My eyes widened, both shocked and relieved that I found something. The description was brief and it read:

“Harry Styles of Holmes Chapel was charged with Assault and Arson last night after authorities say he has ‘intentionally set his school on fire’. Luckily, none were injured in the accident, but Harry is charged with assault leading up to the incident last night. Nothing is said from 16 y/o Harry at the moment, but from what sources say, his court date is April 25, 2010 – he will be standing a trial for one month, and witnesses and jury are unsure if Styles can defeat the case. With a violent background already, there is no telling what can happen to this young man.”

For a couple of moments, I blankly stared at that description before actually clicking the link. Everything in me was terrified in doing so, because if that wasn’t bad enough, what was I expecting when I saw the actual page? Harry was charged with assault and arson?! Everything that was said about him seemed to be so unbelievable to me because yes, Harry was a bit of a ‘bad boy’, but I never saw him as a criminal. Gulping down my nerves, I clicked the link and waited patiently as the page loaded. My fingers tapped along the rims of my laptop, out of nervous reflex. When it finally loaded, I studied some of the pictures of him that were set up on the side of the page; most of them were of his mug shot.
