"Hello? It's Nev."
I sat on his bed, next to Max. We had all decided it was time to go back and listen to her side. I was ultimately curious about why a person would do something like this.
"We wanted to talk to you. Hear your side. Yes, he's coming. Noon, ya say? Thank you." He hung and turned to face us. I looked at the clock; we had about a half hour. I stood, fixed my pants and went to the door. Max followed behind and Nev grabbed his keys. Max put his hand over my back blade.
"Ask your questions, Phil." He seemed so sincere. I nodded in response.
We all piled into the car. It was quiet. I had nothing to say and honestly I don't think they did either.
"We have to talk. We have to put something in between us leaving the hotel and showing up."
"How are you feeling, Phil?" Max asked. I looked up in the rearview mirror at him.
"I still want to know why."
He nodded at me. Again, it was quiet. Nev sighed a little. I felt bad I couldn't get a conversation going.
"I'm sorry for all of this guys. I didn't know we'd go to America then back to Manchester."
They waved their hands at me.

Back at the door, Max knocked. Nev and I were off to the side talking. Well, Nev was talking. Max called to us and waved for us to come inside. We entered through the back which had us instantly in the kitchen, which was huge and red. Everything looked new. The counters were a beautiful white marble and the microwave, stove, and refrigerator were a light color silver. Honestly, it kind of reminded me of my mum's kitchen.
"Hello," she mumbled softly towards me. I smiled, hiding my pain. I gave her a quick hug and we all continued to the living room.

"Honestly, I think its great that he is being so calm about this and actually hugged you. Most of the cases Max and I have done, the hopefuls practically stay far away from their catfishers."
She nodded in response. Max set his camera down onto the small coffee table and rubbed his forehead.
"What even is your name?"
"Angelina," she chirped. She smiled at me which caused me to smile back. Nev looked from her to me then back at her.
"We're going to leave you two alone so Phil can get his questions."
My head shot up, my eyes stalking them. They slowly maneuvered back at her.
"First I want to know why."
"I love you. As I said yesterday, I'm a fan. I just wanted to meet you so bad."
"Do you know Dan by any chance?" My heart was eager. She slowly placed her gaze to the floor, shaking her head a little. A whisper escaped from her lips, almost too silently.
"No."
I stood up, opening my arms. "Please don't cry."
She slid into my arms, hugging tightly. Sobbing noises bubbled out of her throat, sniffling. I patted her back. Phil and Max reentered the room, sitting where she was before. She pulled away, rubbing at her eyes.
"I was desperate! I'm not attractive. All of your fans are so much more attractive. You wouldn't have noticed me, you would've noticed them!" Her face fell into her danty hands.
"Hey," I lifted her face up. "You are beautiful. Everyone is."
