A soft breeze blew through the streets, her hair swaying in unison. She placed her hand on her hip, almost as if she was challenging someone. A voice arouse, as soft as silk, as smooth as honey, a hint of annoyance clouding the beauty. I could only presume it belonged to this goddess before me.
"I don't know why you bother, we are through. Do you get that! You know that Taylor Swift Song? The one that you hate. We are never getting back together. Yeah that one. Go listen to it, because it is all true, that song is now the anthem of our relationship. Now grow up and take the breakup like a man." She ripped the phone away from her ear, shoving it into her pocket.
She looked up at the house in front of her and lent against a car, that I presumed was hers. It was a nice red Mazda2 Genki, seemingly new - she definitely had a nice taste in wheels. She folder her arms and grunted in frustration. she whispered to herself;
"God, why can't he just leave me alone, why do I always have to be the man in these relationships."
My god, she was so sassy. she turned her head to stare at something in the distance behind me. I audibly gasped, and then mentally slapped myself for such carelessness. She was more beautiful than I had though. Her skin was nicely tanned and her high cheekbones fit perfectly underneath her chocolate brown eyes. Her long lashes fluttered like a butterfly with each blink. Her plump lips were plump and round, coated in a peachy gloss. What I would give to kiss those full lips and see if that gloss had a flavor.
She must have heard my gasp, she turned her head towards me, I took that moment to reach for my phone and check the reply that James had sent.
She let out a soft laugh, not quite sure what about, but it sent my mind into overdrive.
"Hey mate, sorry I can't, I've got the flu. Maybe you can ask someone else."
I hesitated then replied;
"Don't stress. Guess what.... I think I found her."
My phone remained silent for a few moments. I feared that I shouldn't have told him. I lifted my index finger to my lips and began to chew my nail, I was just about to turn my phone of and return it to my pocket, when I heard a ping.
"I'll be there in 5."
I smiled, we may not be girls but when it came to this sort of issue, we would be worse gossip queens than Beyoncé.
I stood from the seat that I had been sitting at, and made my way down the path to the park for the baseball game. The cool breeze hung in the air, flashes of her swept before my eyes. She was the one.
No, she couldn't be, I really couldn't be as stupid as to believe that i had just fallen in love within a span of five minutes.
I tried to convince myself of my stupidity, but each step I took away from her, I felt as though another piece of me fell to the pavement. I couldn't wait to make her mine.
