Imagine a muggleborn bringing a thermos flask to Hogwarts, and keeping their tea/coffee/whatever drink warm, and then everyone else is really fascinated by it. They tell them that it's just a thermos, and for the next week or so, everyone is just waving their wands at cups and saying 'Thermos,' while the muggleborn is just like *facepalm*✋
