It was the week before Christmas, and John had decided to throw a small holiday party in their apartment. Mihaela and Sherlock had both been invited, and they were excited to spend the evening with their friends and loved ones.
As they arrived at the apartment, they were greeted by the sight of twinkling lights and holiday decorations. John had gone all out, and the atmosphere was warm and festive.
Mihaela and Sherlock mingled with the other guests, chatting and laughing as they enjoyed the holiday cheer. But as the night went on, they found themselves increasingly drawn to each other.
Eventually, they found themselves alone in a corner of the apartment, sipping on cups of hot cocoa as they talked about the past year.
"Mihaela, I have something I need to tell you," Sherlock said, his eyes locked on hers.
"What is it, Sherlock?" Mihaela asked, sensing the seriousness in his tone.
"I care about you deeply. More than I've cared about anyone in a long time," he said, his voice choked with emotion.
Mihaela felt her heart skip a beat. She had always had feelings for Sherlock, but she had never dared to hope that he felt the same way.
"Sherlock, I care about you too. I have for a long time," she said, her eyes welling up with tears.
Sherlock reached out and took her hand, pulling her closer. "Mihaela, will you be my partner in life? Will you be my partner in every sense of the word?" he asked, his voice filled with sincerity.
Mihaela felt her heart swell with joy as she nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Yes, Sherlock. I will," she said, leaning in for a kiss.
The two of them stayed wrapped up in each other's arms for a long time, completely lost in the moment. It was only when John walked in and saw them that they finally pulled apart, both of them smiling from ear to ear.
"Well, it looks like we have some news to share with the rest of the party," John said, grinning at the sight of the two of them together.
And as they shared their news with their friends and loved ones, Mihaela and Sherlock knew that they had found their happily ever after.
