It was well past midnight when Sherlock finally made his way home after a long and frustrating investigation. He had been working on the case for days, trying to piece together the clues and solve the puzzle. But no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't seem to get anywhere.
As he walked through the door, he was so lost in thought that he didn't even notice the loud noise he made as he slammed the door shut. The noise startled Mihaela, who was fast asleep in bed.
"Sherlock, is that you?" Mihaela called out as she sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes.
"Yes, it's me," Sherlock said gruffly, making his way over to the bed. "I'm sorry if I woke you. I didn't mean to make so much noise."
"It's okay," Mihaela said, reaching out to take his hand. "I was just worried about you. You've been working so hard on this case. How's it going?"
Sherlock let out a sigh and collapsed onto the bed next to her. "It's not going well at all," he said, frustration evident in his voice. "I feel like I'm spinning my wheels. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to make any progress."
Mihaela could see the frustration and exhaustion written all over his face. She wrapped her arms around him and whispered soothing words, trying to offer comfort and support.
"I know it's been tough," she said. "But you're one of the most brilliant minds I know. You'll figure it out. You always do."
Sherlock let out a sigh and leaned into her embrace. "I hope you're right," he said. "I just feel so stuck right now."
Mihaela kissed him gently on the forehead and said, "You need to get some rest. You can't solve this case if you're exhausted. Why don't you try to get some sleep and we can work on it together in the morning?"
Sherlock nodded and allowed Mihaela to tuck him into bed. As he drifted off to sleep, he knew that he couldn't have made it through this difficult case without her support and love. And he was grateful to have such an amazing partner by his side.
