Sherlock and John had been working on a particularly difficult case for the past few weeks, and as they finally returned home, they were both exhausted and frustrated.

Sherlock collapsed onto the couch, his head in his hands as he tried to process everything that had happened. John sat down next to him, offering a sympathetic pat on the back.

"It's okay, Sherlock. We did the best we could," he said, trying to offer some comfort.

But Sherlock was in no mood for consolation. He had spent the past few weeks chasing down leads and working tirelessly, and in the end, they had still come up empty handed.

He stood up, his fists clenched in anger as he paced back and forth. "It's not okay, John. We should have been able to solve this case. We should have been able to catch the killer," he said, his voice filled with frustration.

John stood up, trying to calm him down. "Sherlock, you can't blame yourself. We did everything we could. It's not your fault that the killer got away," he said, his voice gentle.

But Sherlock wasn't listening. He was too wrapped up in his own anger and disappointment to hear what John was saying. And as he stormed out of the room, he didn't even notice Mihaela standing in the doorway, watching him with concern.

Mihaela waited until he was out of earshot before approaching John. "What's going on with Sherlock? He's never been this upset after a case," she asked, her voice laced with worry.

John sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It was a tough case. We were working around the clock, and in the end, we still didn't catch the killer. I think it's just getting to him," he explained.

Mihaela nodded, her heart breaking for her friend. She knew how hard he worked, and she hated seeing him like this.

She made her way over to where Sherlock was pacing back and forth, her steps soft as she approached him. He didn't notice her until she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a hug.

Sherlock froze for a moment, surprised by the sudden display of affection. But as he felt Mihaela's warmth and concern, he couldn't help but let go of his anger and frustration. He collapsed against her, his shoulders shaking with sobs as he let out all of the emotions he had been holding inside.

Mihaela held him tight, her heart breaking as she watched him cry. She knew how hard he worked, and she hated seeing him in so much pain.

As the tears finally slowed, Sherlock pulled away, his eyes red and swollen. "I'm sorry, Mihaela. I didn't mean to take out my anger on you," he said, his voice choked with emotion.

Mihaela shook her head, her eyes filled with understanding. "It's okay, Sherlock. I'm here for you. You can always come to me when you're feeling overwhelmed," she said, her voice soft and gentle.

Sherlock nodded, feeling a sense of comfort and peace wash over him. He knew that he could always count on Mihaela to be there for him, no matter what. And as he wrapped his arms around her once more, he knew that he had found a true partner in her.
