NOTE: This chapter and this story in general has inspiration form creepypastas. Some chapters will have creepy elements, but I generally don't like horror so I don't think it's that creepy.

Dawn was standing in the pack of her fellow students. They had seen a lot of stone carvings, learned a couple of new glyphs and seen a few other things. Though one thing was bothering her; her partner still hadn't come back.

Dr. Black's voice shook her out of her thoughts.

"So can anyone tell me what group worshiped Dialga?"

A hand went up. "The pearl clan,"

Oh come on, this is easy.

"Not quite. Anyone else? Yes, Enoki?"

"It's the diamond clan sir,"

"Good job. Extra points for Mr. Ellery,"

Dr. Black looked back in the direction of the bus.

"Where is that Mr. Ketchum? It can't have taken this long to get a camera. We'll have to put this on hold for a minute,"

Dawn followed her group back to the bus. They reached the bus and asked the bus driver if he had seen Ash. The bus driver realized they were there and pit down his phone.

"Yes?"

"Hey, did you see where Ash went?"

"Ash... he's the new student right? The one with the messy black hair?

"Correct. I sent him to get my camera around... 20 minutes ago,"

"Well he never came here," he reached into one of the bus compartments and pulled out a black duffel bag.

"Your camera is right here. As far as I know he never came,"

"Oh great..." Dr. Black sighed, pressing against his eyes. He got out and spoke to Gary.

"You've known Ash for some time before this academy, correct?"

"Pretty much,"

"So do you have any idea where he might've gone?"

Gary closed his eyes and pondered for a moment.

"Well if I know Ashy boy he probably has some Pokemon he never saw before and went after it. He got lost a lot of times that way," Gary shrugged.

"Ugh. Alright, he can't have gone far. Everybody, gather with your research partner. All of us will go out and look for Ash Ketchum. We'll cover more ground this way"

"Wait sir, what about me?"

"Dawn, just come with me. All of you have your phones with you, correct?"

"Yup,"

"I've got mine,"

"Mine needs to charge,"

"Well regardless, call me if you find him. You should have my number in the school contact list. We meet up here by the bus in an hour, sooner if we find him. If you brought any Pokemon you can use those to help search. Understood?"

"Yes sir!"

"Then go!"

All the pairs dispersed in all directions to find the missing trainer. Dawn faced her teacher.

"So where do we go now?"

"Most of the ground has already been covered by the students. Let's try to retrace our steps in case he's stuck in a bush or something,"

"Understood sir,"

They walked through the path they took. They went back and looked at all the ruins, and observed any place where Ash could have gone. Dawn gave a look to the aging stone like they could have swallowed up her partner. Then they went down to the forest around the ruins.
