"BLAKE!!!"
I picked myself up off the floor quickly. Scalding hot tea drenched my clothes and silver hair. Tools and blueprints were scattered over the floor from the crash.
"Melia, I'm sorry," the muscular, brunette boy, Blake, said. "I was looking at these cool new blueprints and I just didn't see you there..."
His face was covered in worry. Although I wasn't sure if it was for his precious blueprints all over the floor or if whether or not I was going to kill him. I could tell he was sorry, but I didn't care.
"You're sorry? Look at me! I'm covered in tea! Can't you watch where you're going?" I yelled.
"I said I was sorry..." he said apologetically.
"Well, sorry doesn't sweeten my tea!"
I got up and stormed off. Her new blue dress, ruined. She needed a fresh new outfit from her cabin.
Gods, he was such a klutz! The muscular boy that crashed into me was Blake Mason, a son of Hephaestus. He spent all his time in Bunker 9, tinkering with all sorts of things. When he got really into his work, there was no grabbing his attention.
I walked back to the Khione cabin and changed into a clean tank top and shorts. I jumped on my bed. Next to it was a wooden stand that held a picture on top of it. It was of me and my sister. They both had the same silver hair and teal eyes. They looked identical even. The only difference between them was that Melia wore her hair down to her shoulders in two tails that curled and the end and bangs while her sister kept her hair straight.
Using my powers, I created a little ice sculpture of us. We looked so happy. Gods I missed her. I told myself that it'd be okay.
A knocked at the door startled me and my ice sculpture disappeared. I wonder who that could be.
"Come in," I said.
The door opened and my best friend Naomi walked in. We met when she first arrived at camp and ever since then, we've been inseparable.
"Hey there. How are you feeling?" she asked. "I heard about your little accident."
"How'd you know?" I asked.
"Dante told me," she said nonchalantly.
"That boy needs to stop creeping around. He's gonna get caught one day."
Naomi shrugged her shoulders. She noticed me looking at the picture next to my bed.
"You know she'll be back someday right?" she said, trying to comfort me.
"I'm just worried is all. We were together our whole lives. It's just different being away from her."
We both say in silence.
"Well, I know what'll cheer you up!" she said excitedly.
"What?" I asked confused.
"C'mon," she said.
She dragged me by the hand all the way to the lake. Once we got there, she stopped.
"What are we doing here?" I asked.
"You'll see," Naomi replied.
Naomi swayed her hands in a back and forth motion. The way she moved reminded me of waterbending. Which she could do, of course, being a daughter of Poseidon and all.
The calm surface of the water soon started to rise and shape figures. She created scenes of me and her when we first met, our adventures, and even a reunion with my sister, which made me tear up a bit.
Soon, the sun was starting to set and we hear the familiar sound of a horn being blown in the distance.
"Come on," Naomi said. "It's time for dinner."
