Hey! Thank you so much for reading, commenting, and voting. I can't believe I'm on chapter twenty seven already! Anyways, I'll go ahead and get on with the chapter. :)

I was in a good mood while walking with Stiles to the cafeteria until I remembered what I told Ms. Morrel this morning. I spotted Lydia sitting with Allison like she usually does. I took a deep breath. Stiles noticed my change in mood. "Hey, you okay?" "Yeah but I have to go talk to Lydia for Ms. Morrel." I explained. He gave me a kiss on the check. "Good luck with that one babe." He said as Lydia looked over at us. As soon as she saw me she stuck out her nose and looked back over at Allison. Well, here goes nothing. I gave Stiles a small smile as he went to go sit with Scott. "Hey!" I said cheerfully as I sat down by Allison and Lydia. They both frowned but Allison seemed to have the deepest frown. They didn't say hello but I decided to ignore it. "So, how have you two been? I've been doing great, I mean aside from all the chemistry homework we had last night." I said trying to start a conversation. "What do you want?" Lydia's whinny voice asked. What a lovely conversation starter she is.

"Oh you know, just a nice chat with my two friends." Allison stared down at the table as if she was trying to stare holes into it. "I have to go." She said before abruptly standing up. Lydia glared over at me as Allison walked away from the table. "Seriously, what do you want?" Might as well get this over with, I thought as I took a deep breath. "I need to talk to you." "About what?" She asked annoyed. "Jackson." A look of sadness came over her face, in which she quickly concealed by looking away from me. "There's nothing to talk about." Seriously, she was going to try to deny it? Ms. Morrel was right, Lydia is in denial. "I know you still care about him Lydia, so talk to him." I suggested. "I'm over it. Besides, it's really none of your business." She said flipping her hair over her shoulder. Well then, this isn't going as smoothly as I had hoped. "Look, I wasn't born yesterday. I see how much it hurts you to be away from him. I'm just trying to look out for you." "Why?" She asked referring to my confession that I really just want to protect her. "Because I'm your friend." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Well I can look out for myself but thanks anyways." She said still being obnoxiously stubborn. "Fine but don't say I didn't try to speak to you about it." I said standing up from the table. I took in a deep breath and released it as I sat down next to Stiles. I didn't bother to get lunch. I just buried my head in Stiles's shoulder. Today has been long, much too long. "You alright?" I frowned. If someone asks me that one more time I swear I'll...no, contain yourself Serenity. I looked towards Scott who had asked the question in the first place. "I'm fine." I snapped earning a worried glance from Stiles. "Okay then. I'm going to talk to Derek after school and see if we can come up with a plan to get the kanima." Scott said. "Save, you mean save the kanima." I piped in. "That's what I meant." Scott said correcting himself. "Since when are you trying to team up with Derek again? I thought we were moving on from that." Stiles said taking a sip from his water bottle. "Yeah well, I can't do it without him. He's right, were stronger in numbers. I think it might be best if Serenity and I..." If he even suggests for one minute that I should join Derek's pack with him I'll...I'll, do something. Wow, yep I've officially failed at that attempt to come up with a threat.

"Work with him until we get the kanima issue solved." "If by working with him you mean joining his pack, I refuse. Besides, I think we can solve this issue by ourselves." I said confidently. Scott frowned instantly doubting that we could take on the kanima issue without Derek. I would rather fail one hundred times and get back up again than join Derek and only have to fail twice before getting back up. "I'm with Serenity on this one. I just don't trust Derek." Stiles said. Scott looked conflicted. "Fine." He finally said. Even though he had gave in I could still tell his planned alliance with Derek was far from over. I could see that he had already made up his mind that he would work with Derek and for the first time ever I found myself not trusting Scott McCall. The bell rung sending Stiles and Scott on their way to class. I was the last person out of the cafeteria, spending as much time as I could away from class. I sighed when I finally gathered enough will power to force myself into the classroom.
