Hello. I have returned. I'm really sorry for the wait but as I mentioned on my message board I have been sick. It turned out to only be sinuses but the good news is that I've recovered. The bad news, however, is that I have a huge test in algebra coming up about radical expressions. Don't know what that is...well, consider yourself lucky. Anyways, I won't be able to spend as much time typing as usual (parents order.) Which also means that the updates are going to be rather slow. I promise I'll try to post a chapter whenever I can but as for now I apologize for the wait. I know it can be stressful waiting for another chapter...believe me I've been there. But it is as equally stressful for the author also, especially an author who has a ton of algebra studying to do. Okay, I'll go ahead and get on with the chapter. Thanks for reading, commenting, and voting. :)

After many attempts and fails at standing Stiles was finally able to get back on his feet again. The bite was bad, really bad. I cringed at the sight of how large it was, bloody too. I led him out of the woods using my sense of smell as a guide. As soon as we returned to civilization Stiles walked to his house. I trailed behind him and made sure no one saw us. I was worried about Stiles going to his house in his current condition but I wasn't able to protest. He eventually noticed my concern. "It's okay. My dad isn't home." I relaxed but only a little bit. We entered the house and I followed him up the stairs. He went to the bathroom and bandaged up his bite. I looked away while he did this not having the stomach to watch. On instinct Stiles grabbed a pair of basketball shorts and a t-shirt from his drawer and sat them close to me. He gave me privacy to shift back into human form and change into his clothes.

After I got dressed we stared at each other for a moment in silence. "I'm sorry." We both said at the same time. "Don't be, it's my fault." I said looking down at the floor. He walked closer to me and placed both his hands on the sides of my face, forcing me in a gentle way to look at him. "It's. Not. Your. Fault." He said slowly. I bit down on my lip. I wanted to argue with him but didn't have the strength to. Instead I just buried my head into his shoulder and let him hold onto me. We stayed that way for a long time, just holding on to each other. I was still feeling the shock of everything that had just happened. It seemed unreal. I was always afraid of Stiles's dying but I never considered he would be subjected to being a werewolf. He has been surrounded by supernatural creatures for awhile now but will he be able to handle becoming one himself?

I heard the sound of Stiles's jeep in the driveway. I already knew who it was with just one sniff. Scott had come to check on Stiles. I shifted away from his arms. "Scott's here." I explained. He nodded his head and released a deep breath. Seconds later a worried Scott rushed through the door. "Stiles, thank god!" He said as he saw his friend was still alive. When he noticed the outline of a bandage through Stiles's shirt and finally caught onto the scent of blood his eyes widened. "Did...did he..." He couldn't form a sentence so he looked over at me for answers. I already knew his question but I wasn't sure how to form an answer. I nodded my head and then let my eyes fall to the ground, not watching his reaction. The room feel silent for a short while before Stiles finally spoke. "What's done is done, there's no point in avoiding it." Avoiding it, what did he mean? His words sounded very confusing to me as my mind tried to formulate an answer to what we could be avoiding. I understand he is going to turn into a werewolf but who said anything about avoiding it? I looked over at Scott to search for the confusion I felt but didn't find any.

I looked back and forth between the two boys. "What are you not telling me?" I asked suddenly feeling very left out. Stiles glanced over at Scott, silently asking a question between his best friend. Scott nodded. "Tell her." He said glancing over at me. I raised my eyebrows at Stiles. Tell me what? I had a thousand questions swarming around my head at once. "Well, when a person is bit by a werewolf..." He started to explain. "They become a werewolf, I already know this." I cut him off. "Yeah but there is something that you don't know about it." Stiles glanced up at Scott once more and in return Scott gave him an encouraging nod. He looked back over at me. "Sometimes, and this is very rare, but when a person gets bit by a werewolf they aren't able to go through with the transition." He cleared his throat as if to settle the awkward tension that seemed to be floating around the room. "Wait, so there's a chance you might still be able to be human?" I asked completely clueless. Stiles took in a deep breath and released it slowly. I put my hand over his shoulder, trying to comfort him from whatever was bothering him so much. "No, not exactly." He answered, struggling with his words. "Okay, then what happens to you if you can't complete the transformation?" I asked.
