Hello friends!
Looking forward for your comments along the chapter: I love reading them, so don't be shy! ❤️
Eda had left behind the most beautiful and intense kiss in her life, and she was fully aware of it. She was so aware that she cursed herself for having interrupted it or even fallen into that temptation.
- I'm always the same idiot... But this is the first time I feel like an idiot for emotions...
During that quick walk that led from the building that Serkan had shown her and that she already knew well, to her home, Eda did nothing but think about how short the time had been for Serkan to manage to break down all the barriers that she, over the years, had built to avoid getting too attached to people, not being used to that strange feeling called "love".
Eda sneaked into the house and rushed to her room, trying to sleep once and for all despite the fact that a few hours later the sky would be again illuminated by the light of day.
- The first thing I'm gonna do is making up for my mistakes with Grandma. The second will be to ignore every single thrill I feel even at the thought of Serkan Bolat.
And after a last look towards the window, trying to see a light in Serkan's room, still dark because perhaps he had not yet returned home, Eda closed her eyes and fell asleep.
- Good morning, my granddaughter! Slept well? Oh...
Before the eyes of Semiha Yildiz, still, a little sleepy but already dressed in tight black jeans and a white sweater with shoes on her feet, Eda headed to the kitchen to join her grandmother for breakfast.
- Are you already dressed and ready? Do you have any other work commitments? I thought today...
- Good morning granny, I think today is a good day to decorate our house and make the Christmas tree before bringing sweets to your booth at the Christmas market!
Semiha couldn't believe that she had her granddaughter in front of her: did Eda really want to dedicate the day to Christmas, the party she claimed to hate the most? Perhaps the cake she had sent through that young Bolat had been the cure to her coldness.
- Oh Eda, but it's wonderful! Here, honey, have a good coffee and eat a piece of your favorite cake... Cake with cream and strawberries, like a shortcake!
Eda, now sitting at the table, stopped the movement of the cup of coffee she was carrying on her lips once she heard of the way Serkan had started calling her.
Shortcake.
Eda gulped and continued to sip her coffee trying not to appear in any way affected by that word but Semiha noticed that, evidently, something had attracted Eda's mind, now absorbed in her thoughts.
After breakfast, the two began decorating the Christmas tree and mounting the lights around the fireplace and around the windows, listening to Christmas music as they used to do when Eda was a child.
Eda did not believe that a small thing like that could free her mind from deadlines, work burdens, thoughts, and especially from that man who had advanced so many meters centering her heart.
- Anything you want to tell me, sweetheart?
Semiha noticed that Eda had stopped with a Christmas light in her hand before the last window to decorate, immersed in who knows what thoughts.
- Uhm... Sorry, what did you say, Grandma? I was thinking, that's all.
Semiha looked out of the corner of her eye as Eda, having regained contact with reality, resumed her duties.
