I opened my eyes and found myself laying on a metal table. I try to move but there was something restraining my wrists and ankles. God where am I?
- Good you're awake- I heard someone say.
I look to my right and see a man with an eyepatch.
- Who are you?- I asked, -Are you some kind of pirate or something-
Oh God, I don't know where that came from but he does not look happy.
- This funny attitude will get you nowhere, my dear girl- he said with an evil look, -My name does not matter, what matters is that your parents will be here shortly and I shall get my revenge. I'm really sorry you got caught in the crossfire but you must die today-
WHAT? I need to get out of here. I struggle with the restrains but surprisingly I get out of them, and I didn't break them, I just passed through them like some kind of ghost would. I hear noises coming and see the door open, I couldn't see who was there because of the light from outside. Suddenly I come face to face with the barrel of a gun and all I could think was " God, I'm going to die without accomplishing any of my dreams. He squeezed the trigger...
And I woke up with shaky breath and covered in sweat. This dream was really weird, it was more like a nightmare. I'm never having steak for dinner again, they say depending on what you eat before you go to sleep is the type of dreams you have. I didn't believe in that but maybe it's time I start to. I go back to sleep but can't stop thinking about that dream.
I wake up and prepare for school, should I tell Nat and Jay bout' my dream? I guess another person's point of view won't hurt.
I get to school and go to my first period, fortunately my next period I'm free and so are Nat and Jay. I finish first period and head to the patio benches where we always meet.
- Hey guys- I said.
- Hey there Kat- both said.
- Last night I had the strangest dream, well it was more like a nightmare- I told them.
- Really? What was it about?- asked Jay.
- I was kidnapped, and I had some kind of power. I could get through thing, kinda like a ghost. The man who kidnapped me said something about getting revenge on my parents- I said.
- That's weird, maybe it's just something you saw on a movie?- Nat suggested.
- Yeah, maybe I should just forget about it. I mean it was just a dream- I told them.
- Yeah, now stop worrying and let's talk about happier topics. Like what are we wearing for tomorrow's party- Jay said enthusiastically.
- I'm wearing the dress we bought last weekend- I said.
- OMG, that dress is so cute- shrieked Nat.
- We're totally going to my house after school- said Jay.
We get up and head for the rest of our classes. After school Jay's mom came for us.
We get to Jay's house, which is more like a mansion, and go straight to her room. We pass Jay's brother, who says hi and Nat blushes furiously. She totally has a crush on him but will never admit it in front of Jay, you know cos' it's totally awkward to have a crush on your best friend's brother. Can't deny he's cute, just as Jay his hair is blonde, his eyes are a shade darker than Jay's but still a gorgeous blue, and he's got muscles of someone who goes to the gym for 6 hours straight without trying. If I'm honest they would make a totally cute couple.
3 hours later we still don't know what Nat and Jay are wearing for the party.
- Come on guys, just wear a dress. You're taking too long, I'm getting bored- I complained, I'm not normally like this, but boy, who takes that long.
- Okay, I'm wearing the strapless dress- informed Jay.
- Totally cute, I'm wearing this dress!- said Nat.
- Finally!- I said dramatically.
We go to the kitchen and grab some snacks.
- Now can we do our homework?- I asked.
- Sure, let's go!- said Jay.
We head up to the living room and do our homework.
- So, how's Jaden?- asked Jay.
- He's fine, I haven't talked to him since Monday- I said.
- That must feel like an eternity to you- Nat said suggestively.
- Oh, shut up!- I said playfully.
When we finished our homework we watched a movie and then Nat's mom came and took me to my house.AUTHOR'S NOTE: YOU CAN SEE THEIR PARTY OUTFITS IN THE PHOTO AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CHAPTER.
