We've been in NY for three days and they have been the best days of my life so far. We ate a lot of new things, went to musicals and explored Central Park. There has been no sight of danger and I'm thankful for that. My real parents are really awesome, they are making a huge effort in getting to know me and I appreciate that. Today we are going to the Times Square, I am really excited to go to Forever 21, Jay once said it was her favorite shop. I miss my friends so much! Yesterday I asked my parents if I could talk to them but they told me it wasn't safe, when we get back I'll talk to the director because not talking to them is super unfair since I didn't choose to be here.
- Why are you so pensive honey?- my dad asked.
- I just miss my friends and even though I love you guys and meeting you was one of the best things in my life, I can't help but think that this is unfair, I didn't choose this, I didn't have a choice. I can't see any of the people back home, I can't even text them!- there, I got everything off my chest.
- I'm sorry baby, I know you are really frustrated right now, but everything will turn out fine. You just have to be patient and follow orders, there's some extremely dangerous people out to get you and we all want what's best for you- my mom told me.
- We better get going if we want to make it before there's nothing left to buy- my dad hurried us.
We left the hotel and walked to the Times Square since it wasn't too far from our hotel and if we had taken a cab we really wouldn't have gotten there because of all the traffic.
- Can we get a hotdog? I heard they have the best hotdogs ever!- i said enthusiastically.
- We are going to be so fat when we go back- my mom joked.
- Come on! We're on vacation, we can eat all we want to. We'll work out when we go back- my dad told her.
- Hi, can I get three hotdogs please- I told the vendor.
- Of course- he answered.
He looked kinda creepy, he had a really long beard and tattoos that covered his arms from finger to shoulder. He looked up from the hotdogs and gave me a crooked smile, he had a gold tooth that shined. My dad seemed to notice the man was staring and cleared his throat to catch his attention.
- Everything alright?- my dad asked.
- Of course. She's got really pretty eyes- the man said.
I was seriously creeped out so I got closer to my mom who was standing behind us. She put an arm around my shoulder and smiled at me. This gave me a sense of security, when I am with them I feel like I'm untouchable, like nothing can ever hurt me. I returned her smile and grabbed the hotdog that my dad was offering. I took a bite.
- God! Guess it's true what they say, this are probably the greatest hotdog I've ever eaten!- I exclaimed with satisfaction.
- Yeah? I'll be the judge of that- my mom said as she took the hotdog my dad was handing her.
- They are really good- she said after taking a bite.
- Come on! We can eat while we walk- my dad said.
- Have a lovely day!- the vendor said as we were walking away.
- That man was starting to creep me out- I said.
- Right!- my dad agreed.
We spent the rest of the day shopping and laughing. We had so much fun. We finally returned to the hotel at around one in the morning. I bought so many things, from clothes to accessories, I even bought a M&M's comforter for my bed. Well, I didn't technically had a bed yet since I hadn't been assigned a room back at the facility. I was having the time of my life, but like any of the good things it must come to an end, right? Well at least with my luck it does. We went up to our room and when we got there we noticed the door was opened. My dad grabbed a gun from the back of his jeans. How do you keep a gun there without people noticing it?! Back to what's important. He slowly opened the door and motioned for us to stay outside. He went inside and 2 minutes later we heard a thud. My mom and I turned to look at each other and then went in, with me behind my mom of course. When we got to the door of my parents bedroom (yes it had two bedrooms, didn't I mention we were staying in a suite? How dumb of me!) we saw my dad fighting a man. It was a fair fight but in the end my dad got the upper hand and subdued the man. We finally got a good look at his face and surprise! It was the hotdog man, we really should be more careful of who we talk to.
- I knew you weren't creepy for no reason!- I exclaimed pointing a finger at him.
- Who do you work for?- my mom asked getting closer to the man.
- I'll never tell- the man said with a creepy smile.
- Well then, you are no use to us so prepare to die- my dad said pointing the a gun to his head.
- Anthony don't you dare!- my mom warned, - he must be taken into custody-
- Of course- my dad said as he put his gun away, - I'm sorry you were about to watch that. I'm not used to having kids around-
- I'm not really a kid anymore and I do understand that's what you do for a living- I said.
- You're such a smart girl baby. That's gonna help you a lot in the future. You are going yo be a great agent- my mom said.
- You think so?- I asked.
- I know so- she said with a confident smile on her face.
