One look, dark room

Meant just for you

Time moved too fast

You play it back

I saw the smile on his face as I moved acrossed the room to meet the other guests. It was genuine, and beautiful. The little stubble on his face made me melt. I looked away before he noticed.

Buttons on a coat

Light hearted joke

No proof, not much

But you saw enough

I followed him outside, slowly buttoning my blazer so I wasn't cold. "You look like you work in an office." He said as I walked up beside him. I giggled a little and asked, "So, what's your name?"

"James."

Small talk, he drives

Coffee at midnight

The light reflects

The chain on your neck

"Thanks for this, I really needed it." I said sipping my starbucks coffee. "Well, you better finish that paper, or your professor is going to kill you." James told me looking at me for a second before looking back at the road. "Yeah, yeah." I muttered, and looked out the window, just as the street lamp light caught my 'A' necklace and made it sparkle.

He says look up

And your shoulders brush

No proof, one touch

You felt enough

I pulled the blazer closer around me and shivered a little. "Look at all the stars." I looked up to see the stars sparkle like diamonds, and my shoulder unexpectedly grazed his. "Oh, sorry."

You can hear it in the silence, silence

James had the sweetest of smiles, that made the silence speak loudly.

You can feel it on the way home, way home

The tension between us wasn't harsh, it was peaceful.

You can see it with the lights out, lights out

James' eyes were the color of chocolate, and they enchanted me in the darkest of nights.

You are in love, true love

Morning, his place

Burn toast, Sunday

I wake-up with James' arms around my waist. I got up and tried to make toast, but burnt it.

You keep his shirt

He keeps his word

I walked home with my bag in my hand, and the smell of him on me. I can hear his words echoing over and over; "I trust you."

And for once you let go

Of your fears and your ghosts

One step, not much

But it said enough

I realised I forgot something back there. I left my doubt and my cares and my worries and my fears. I know things now.

You kiss on sidewalks

You fight and you talk

"I'm sorry I yelled at you." James said as he walked outside to meet me on the side walk. "It's fine. I love you, I really do." I told him, and then kissed him, right there on the sidewalk; in the sprinkling rain.

One night he wakes

Strange look on his face

Pauses, then says

You're my best friend

As I lay my head down I see James sit up. I turn my lamp on, "What, what is it?" He just smiles and says, "You're my best friend." I smiled and turned the light off, I cuddled close to him and said, "I know."

And you knew what it was

He is in love

The gears in my head started turning and I realised what it really was. James truly loved me.

And so it goes

You two are dancing in a snow globe round and round

I shook the snow globe. It had two ice skaters holding hands on the ice. "Oh, James I love it." I said, and kissed him.

And he keeps the picture of you in his office downtown

I picked the framed picture off his desk. It was one of me from forever ago, in a dress that was too expensive and a night I would never forget. "I didn't know you had a picture of me on your desk." I say as I keep looking over it. "Yeah, Aleks makes fun of me for it." He told me as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "I think it's cute."

And you understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars

I finally get it, I get why everybody wants this. I get why everyone is jealous. Because it feels like a dream.

And why I've spent my whole life trying to put it into words

I am Alexia, and this is my story.

The idea is this girl; me, is living her life, writing songs, dreaming of being the next Taylor Swift, and then she falls deeply in love. Before she realizes it her life turns into songs. Each chapter will have a different song to go with it! Taylor Swift songs to be specific. B-) I think it'll be a fun story. Enjoy!
