“Hey,” he whispered, “I’m here. Y/N, I’m here.”
You're crying against his chest, you had one of your nightmares again. He gently lies you against his chest. Soon you're asleep again.
*next day after somewhat successful witch hunt*
You're lying in bed, sleeping steadily. Well, soon you jolt awake as you hear a crash coming from the hallway. You try to get up but pain stops you from doing so. You grunt and flop back down, reaching to touch your back. When you pull your hand back, it's all red. You must have missed this cut when cleaning up from the hunt with the boys.
"Dean!"
He comes in, flicking the lights on. He sees your bloodied hand and the shock in your face. Dean quickly walks over to you, gently lifting you up, pulling down the flannel you're wearing.
"Holy.., Sammy!"
"What!" He comes in seeing the bloodied bed sheets, looking up calmly.
"I'll go get the med kit, you call Cas"
Dean nods.
"Cas!"
"Yes?"
Castiel takes a look at them, understanding the problem. He walks over and puts hand on your back. You whimper in pain. It hurts Dean to see you like this.
"It's very deep, that's all I can do"
Sammy comes in, asking:
"So, should we take her to the ER?"
"I mean, maybe, but let's stitch her up first and go from there"
"Dean holds her while Sammy stitches her up.
*hours later*
You're sleeping on top of Dean, he's watching tv, keeping the volume down.
You grunt and change position, snuggling deeper into Dean's chest.
"So, how is she holding up?"
"Well, so far, she's just been sleeping"
"Don't blame yourself about this,Dean"
"I'm not"
"I know you are, she didn't notice it neither, nor did I"
Dean sighs.
"Sammy, with all respect, I'm not blaming myself"
Sammy looks at him, eyebrow raised.
"Okay, maybe I do, but she's gonna be just fine"
"You love her, don't you"
"Was that a question or statement"
"I think we do both know the answer to that"
The older Winchester shoots the younger one the look. Sammy just smiles, sporting a bitch face. Dean flashes his best bitch face back.
