Then the fireworks fired up like a rocket

Days passed you went by my house
With my best buds you came in
I thought I'd never have you as a visitor
And that day change my life forever

You called me baby, I called you bae
Then you ended up calling me moon and I call you Sunkist.

We became best buddies but that's my farthest role.
To be your girl best friend.
To be your shoulder to cry on.
Yet you never cry you're still happy just seeing her and I'm happy seeing you happy.

Yes it's sad to just be happy because you are happy.
I can't do anything about it though.
You love her like I do to you.
You notice me but not in the way I wanted.

Prom came and we danced.
It's my birthday too.
I never thought you'd dance me but you just did it because it's my birthday
And we're friends, friends.

I broke down in tears after that.
I told myself maybe it's time to give up.
My mind and heart didn't.
I can't sleep at night and my heart won't calm.

I told you "I Love You" through a graduation letter.
He never mentioned that but he was touched.
I cried after reading the letter I made again and again.

I guess we are never meant for each other.
But I believe we are.
I love you and forever will be.

High school love is lifelong.
I hope things would go the way I want them to be.
