The past year has gone from bad to worse for Charles Leclerc. He lost the World Championship to his greatest rival and then his three year relationship with his girlfriend, Ceci, also ended.
He swore to focus on two things next season, win races and...
"And Charles Leclerc wins his home Grand Prix for the first time since he started racing in Formula 1. I hope his family friends are ready with the champagne because today is definitely special." says Jenson Button who was commentating the race.
Charles gave instructions to his team to give Anita access to the garage and the team radio. At first, Anita was hesitant because she knew cameras will be around but at the end of the day, she's there to support Charles she obliged.
"Woooohh! Yeeeeesssss!!! We did it! Come one! Molto grazie! Forza Ferrari" Charles screamed in the radio
"P1! I can't believe it. Monaco is home and this is so special! Molto grazie! Forza Ferrari!"
She knew how bad Charles wanted to win in Monaco and how frustrating it was for him to lose over the past years.
She waited for him along with his family and the rest of the team as he parked his car in front of Number 1 at Parc Ferme.
Charles got out of his car and was just ecstatic. She didn't know how much this meant to him. It is a win he dedicated to his Papá.

**** Charles ran towards his family and team. He hugged his maman and brothers and of course he saw Anita with them. She's smiling but looking a bit anxious being in the crowd and "seen", so he approached her and he grabbed her face to bring it close to his helmet so she can hear what he has to say.
"You look worried. Let us celebrate! We did it. We won!"
"I know. I'm so happy for you." She touched his helmet and gave him a smile while his team joined in the celebrations.
In the post race interview, similar to what Victoria and Carlos experienced early on into their relationship, people at the paddock, the media in particular, will definitely ask questions.
Will Buxton was sharp to notice that brief moment between him and Anita but he was glad he didn't bring it up.
"Congratulations, Charles on the first home race win. Well deserved. How do you feel now that you are leading the World Championship and you've finally won Monaco?"
"Oh, of course I am very happy. The journey to win here at home was not easy, it came with a lot of disappointments in the past, so I am just very happy to be here" he shares hoping there wouldn't be any more questions.
"Thank you, Charles and once again congratulations!"
He turned to Lee Mcintyre and he knew she would ask about Anita.
"Charles, congratulations on the win. It is finally nice to see the sparkle back in your eyes. Everyone who saw you at parc ferme is wondering if the sparkle was due to the win or due to the beautiful lady waiting for you?"
"Hahaha! That is a trick question. But I would say both. I'm very happy that I won and that family and friends are here to celebrate with me."
