Sabertooth's New Princess

Chapter 13

It was the day of the double battles and i was getting excited because I was hoping that I would get to battle. "From Sabertooth we have Lucy Vermilion and-" the spokes man just froze there and I saw the Magic Council up where the spokes person is and was talking over it. "and - don't jump everyone or run for your lives cause the magic council is here to protect us- is Zeref Jr. Vermilion twin brother of Lucy Vermilion." he said ending his sentences while Zeref and I walked out. We looked the same except for our eyes and genders. I hugged Rouge and walked out to the battle field. "and battling them is Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox from Fairy Tail." the spokes person said and looked down. Natsu walked out and smiled at me and I smiled back while Gajeel was staring down Zeref while Zeref was staring him down and i started to giggle. "What's so funny Blondie?" Gajeel said looking at me. "You two look like Gray and Natsu but your not butting heads!" I said loudly giggling even more. "Zeref you take Gajeel. I want to fight Natsu." I said looking over at Zeref and he nodded.

While they were counting down the seconds for our fight we were all talking and acting like friends until the bell started to ring. "Ready to fight Lucy?" Natsu said looking at me. "Yes I am. Are you Natsu?" I asked smiling at him. I then looked at Rouge who was getting red and i started to giggle. "Fire dragon iron fist!" Natsu yelled and punched me in the face. While Zeref and Gajeel were going at it. I went back a couple of inches and yelled "Light Fairy shimmering gold" pointing to Natsu's gut cause i didn't want to kill him. Natsu fell to the ground and was struggling to get  up. "Lucy do you remember what you told me the day after you joined Fairy Tail? You said that since you joined Fairy Tail you believed in me." he said still trying to get up and I froze.

                                            (Flash Back)

"NATSU!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as a gorilla type thing was tying me up while trying to save his friend. All i saw was flames as the Gorilla fell down. Natsu ran over and untied me. "Thank you" I said and hugged him and he started to blush while hugging me back. "No problem." he said smiling at me. After we defeated the Gorilla we helped his friend up and walked back to the Guild. Once we were there I pulled Natsu out. "Natsu I have to tell you something." i said smiling at his dark brown eyes. "Okay" Natsu said looking worried at me. "Ever since i joined this guild I've always believed in you" I said blushing looking down at the ground and walked back into the guild leaving Natsu alone.

"Y-Yea" I said looking down at the ground still reliving that day over and over in my head. "You know what I did after you told me that?" Natsu asked me and i shook my head no. "I promised myself I would always love you and i would protect you from that day on. I promised myself that i would cheer you up when you cried and try to make you smile. I wanted to see you smile." he said standing up and staring at my chocolate eyes. "I did smile at the Guild i always did." I said almost it tears and Natsu noticed. "No you didn't you were always wearing your face smile. You were always wearing it because you were in pain when nobody saw." he said frowning and took a step toward me. Everyone in the audience was watching us along with Zeref and Gajeel. "But you didn't realize that I did. I saw your pain, it was always in your eyes instead of your smile. Everyone thought that you were happy and fine but i knew you weren't. I always knew." Natsu said taking another step forward and i felt a tear escape my eye. I looked over at Rouge who looked like he could tear Natsu apart and then I looked at Zeref who was hearing this about his tough, strong, brave, twin sister. "Then why didn't you comfort me and support me?" I asked looking at him letting my feeling go.
