"How?" Vincent asks.
I clear my throat.
"Well, I can help you get information. Pretend I want to help him, but give everything to you."
Caden chuckles.
"That's a pretty stupid idea, darling." I raise an eyebrow. "Do you really think it would be that easy?"
"No, but I could learn. You guys can tell me what to do." I shrug.
"Why would you want to help us? What do you expect to get in return?"
That's the thing. Why would I help them? They are bad people. But ever since I met them, I can't help but feel attracted to them.
Yes, they are not good people to be around, but for some fucked up reason, the fact that they are capable of murder but won't hurt me, attracts me a little.
They could've killed me, but they chose to pay me dinner and explain to me what happened that night.
That's hot.
"I honestly don't know." I sigh. "Maybe I'm scared because he came to talk to me." I lie.
Vincent looks at me for a second and then turns his gaze to his friends.
Aaron and Caden both nod at him and he turns back to me.
"Alright." Vincent says. "But I won't just throw you in the lions den, we're going go train you, prepare you and protect you." Aaron nods next to him.
"When do we start?" I ask.
*****
We were all leaving the restaurant when a man stops us before we could reach the door."No fucking way!" He says and starts laughing. "My boys!"
Aaron smiles widely and hugs the man. The same happens with the other two and I'm left standing there super confused.
Vincent pats the man's shoulder and turns to me.
"Elise, this is Gael, the owner of this restaurant." Vincent introduces.
Gael looked to be around his mid sixties. Grey hair and beard, blue icy eyes and tall. He was wearing a chefs uniform and hat.
"It's so nice to meet you." I smile. "You have a lovely place."
"Thank you, darling." He smiled sweetly at me.
"Gael, we had an issue here, though." Caden says looking at me and I make a confused face. "One of your employees told our date to leave because she was trash, and that is no way to speak to a woman."
I widen my eyes.
Sure I was about to punch his nose but I didn't want him to get into big trouble because of me. I'm no one!
Gael gasps and looks at me.
"I am so sorry, Elise." He apologizes. "Could you tell me who was it?"
"It really wasn't that big of a deal." I say looking at the ground.
"That one." Aaron says and points his finger.
There was the guy that treated me like shit.
"Oh." Gael says disappointed. "That is my nephew and you are not the first one to complain about him." He sighs. "I tried to give him a chance but he keeps fucking up. Anyways, thank you for coming, and I'm really sorry, Elise. I hope you can give us another chance these days and come back." He smiles.
"Of course I'll come back, your pasta is out of this world." I smile back.
We say our goodbyes and leave the place.
"Thank you for the dinner." I tell them.
"Where is your car? We'll walk you there." Aaron asks.
"Oh, I don't have a car. I took the bus." I smile. "And don't worry, the bus stop is right there."
"Let us give you a ride, please." Vincent says. "It's dangerous to take the bus this late."
"I really don't want to bother you."
"You won't. Come on."
We make our way to their car and it's awesome. I don't know much about cars, but this one sure is beautiful.
Vincent is driving, Aaron on the passenger seat and Caden is on the back with me.
"Why don't you talk much?" I ask Caden.
He shrugs.
"My brothers told you everything you had to know, no need for me to talk as well."
I look at him.
"Well, you should. I like the sound of your voice."
He looks at me up and down, and smirks.
(A/N: happy new year babies, love you all💕)
