I wake up to my alarm going off and I smack it, but it doesn't turn of. So I push it off the table and it smashes to pieces, looks like I need a new alarm clock.
After I get out of bed and brush my teeth I reluctantly get out my bikini and my rashie. My bikini is midnight blue with stars across the bottoms and the top. I pack a bag with sun screen a water bottle my rashie and my cell phone. I put on my cargo shorts with a black shirt. I shove my sun glasses on my forehead and pull my brown long hair into a messy ponytail. I walk down the stairs and leave a note on the table to my mom and leave. As I leave I grab my keys and grab my surfboard and put it in the back of my old Chevy truck. I start the car and drive to Lacys house, she hops in the front and says "hey!? You actually came! Alex and Lynn are going to meet us at the beach I loaded my surfboard in the back and I'm ready to go! Let's do this!!"
We spend the rest of the drive singing along to the music with our windows down and screaming. We pull up to the beach and we get out. We see Lynn and Alex on the beach waxing there surfboards In Full gear. I get out of the car and grab my bag and pull my surfboard out. I walk over to Lynn and Alex, they say "hey guys" at the exact same time. Then Lynn says "jinx, are you guys ready to hit the waves!?"
"Ready as I'll ever be" I mumble. I strap my surfboard to my ankle and walk toward the water with a smile.I lay on my surfboard waiting for a wave. The cool water brushing against my legs and I look over to my right and I see a figure also sitting on surfboard to my right. He looks about my age, he's got brown hair and blue bright eyes, he yells "waiting for a wave?" I yell "ya! I've been waiting forever!" He yells back "well so have I, so may the best surfer win!" He says I a friendly teasing tone with a smirk. He's cute, I have to admit. I yell back "your on buddy!" I give him a challenging look and turn my attention back to the horizon. I remember my dad used to say "when a wave is coming you can feel it coursing through your body sending little licks of excitement to your brain, that my little Mac is what surfing is all about: catching the perfect wave." I had to show this boy what I was made of, and I new I was going to do that because I had my dad on my side. My game face was on and I would win this no matter what.
