Sunburns and dares

"Hey Mackenzie! I challenge you to a duel on the waves!" says Jeremy. I yell back "YOUR ON BUDDIE" I start to run over to the waves but two strong arms catch me. I look up and I'm staring into Emmetts green beautiful piercing eyes. "Be carful, okay mac?" I just look at him and nod my head before giving him a hug signalling that I'm fine with him calling me that. I pull apart and he looks down at me and says "now go kick jeremeys ass please." I smile and say "my pleasure." I run down to see Jeremy already in the water I Throw of my shorts and shirt. And run into the water, Jeremy's staring at me and I say "what? You've never seen a girl with a 4 pack before?" Jeremy just keeps staring and says "let's just ride, I'm ready to kick you four pack ass.!" Without further ado we start paddling out, the water is quite cool but I don't mind the feeling of it against my hot skin. There's a wave coming but I decide to let it go because I don't feel it in my gut. Jeremy starts to ride to the wave and I stay behind waiting for the perfect wave. And I see it, it's of to the right of Jeremy's wave. I start to paddle over even though it looks small I have that gut feeling. I perform a perfect tuck and duck and when I come back up I slide my legs into my position and rude the now huge wave. As I'm surfing I hear Emmett scream "YA MACK KICK HIS BLOODY ASS!!" All the boys offshore laugh and I laugh to, when I look back Jeremy is on his somewhat small wave. I flick my board up a bit so I can speed my pace because I need to make it out of this funnelling wave. I ride out with ease and falling back of my board letting the cool water embrace me. I come back up and walk ashore. Every guy's face not including Emmetts face was in awe. "WHAT.HOW.NO WAY!!" Jeremy exclaims. I just look over at him and pat his shoulders and say "better luck next time." I smile sweetly at him and walk over to where I put Emmetts shirt. I slip it in and tie it around my mid waist so it's the length of a crop top. I turn around and tie my hair in a messy ponytail when I get a voice behind me say "your back is getting red, Do u want some sun screen?" Of course it's Emmett. "Um sure I would like that." I say. He turns around and fishes through his bad and hands me sunscreen. I start to apply sunscreen to my back but it's not working. Emmett walks over to my back and picks up the bottle and says "you could've just asked me to help." I smile sheepishly and say in a whiny voice "Emmy would you pwease put sunscrween on my bwack?" He just rolls his eyes and squirts Some on my back. He silently rubs it on to my back, I break the silence by saying "Emmett, I haven't let anyone call Mac in years...but your different. I just wanted you to know that." I look down, afraid of what he might think. He turns me around and says "I'm honoured." And smiles, he embraces me in a right corner morning warm hug k could malt in his arms but ,We pull away at the same time and our lips are inches apart. My heart is telling me to close the gap between us and my brain is telling me not to. Before I can make a decision the 6 boys come running up and yell "TRUTH OR DARE TIME!" Me and Emmett break away as fast as possible and avoid each other's eyes looking down. He's smiling and blushing, god he's so adorable when he does that! Wait...what!? Do I like Emmett? No I can't, he's probably got a beautiful girlfriend, or he probably doesn't even like me. I am snapped out of thought by Leo who's pulling me down to sit in a circle . I'm sitting beside Leo and Emmett, Rafael is sitting next to emmet, tilly is sitting beside Rafael, Jeremy is sitting next to Rafael and jake is sitting next to Leo and Jeremy. Leo says "I'll go first!! Okay, jake truth or dare." "Dare" jake says. "Okay, jake I dare you to go and get that girl number and points to a girl who's totally fake and tanning in a beach chair. "Piece of cake." Jake says. He walk over and 5 minutes later comes back with a face full of sand on his face. "Okay so maybe the piece of cake was a bit hard to cut...." Jake says dusting off the sand. "Okay, Emmett truth or dare?" "Truth" Emmett blurts. "Okay is it true that you and Jessica broke up?" Jake asks. "Jake how could you not know that!? She was with someone else at the same time!? We ended it like a month ago!" I wave of relief washed over my whole body. "Okay....tilly, truth or dare?" "Dare" tilly says with a daring face. "Okay show us your tattoo." Emmett says. "Fine" tilly grumbled. He pulls down his sleeve so I can see his shoulder and it says "my little pony" I guess I had a confused look on my face because Jeremy said "they mixed up his design and he's getting it removed soon." He lets his sleeve back down and says "okay stop looking you've looked enough. Okay Mackenzie, truth or dare?" I say "dare with a smirk." "Okay I dare you to go kiss that boy over there." He points behind me to a boy with blonde hair and a muscular back. He turns around and my shoulders tense and my heart skips a beat. It's Ryder freakin Maylock. The boy who broke my heart....
