Chapter 5 - Thoughts

It's been two weeks since I saw Aadil after four years. It kinda feels weird because four years ago I was so used to seeing him always at the house because Azlan Bhai and him are best friends. Aadil is always good at giving advice and a good friend. Aadil has always been my best friend since we were children and I could always get along with him. Whenever I needed help with school work I could always rely on Aadil to help.

He always used to give me his past books he used at school and notes it always helped. He decided to leave and not visit once in four years and I haven't heard about him in those four years it kinda hurt not going to lie it did but why I don't know. He was a really good friend and now we just like it's awkward like two lovers broke up. Zahra what are you thinking you were never lovers. He is just a friend of your brother and a friend of yours too.

Yeah, sure seeing him after four years you thinking about him and how it's being awkward. You sure you don't feel anything else. My subconscious told me off.

'No I don't have feelings for no one besides... Anyways why am I trying to justify myself to you.'

Today is Bhai and Dani Bhabi mehndi night. So everything is going crazy in the house and trying to get all the decorations done. The mehndi will be Dani bhabi house it's a ladies function so there will be no men. I startled from my thoughts when I got a sudden call from someone.

Aadil

It's been two weeks since I last saw her. It's been a hectic last two weeks with all the preparations for Dani and Zohaib wedding. All the guests have started arriving. Dani did request a small wedding and not alot of people at the wedding. Mama family is huge and so is Dad family.

We had to limit the amount of guests of coming. If the cousins who weren't invited gate crash the wedding I won't be surprised. Dani and Zohaib decided they wanted one hundred guests at the wedding since both sides of the family is huge. Fifty guests from our side and the other fifty from Zohaib side.

Tonight is the mehndi night and we having the mehndi night at our house. It's utter choas here. Mama is running here and telling the decroter to make the decorations properly. The food is bhabi and Bhai department to handle. Nishat Api is here so her husband Ali Bhai and her department is making sure the henna cones are placed where it's supposed to be and the sweetmeats they are handling as well.

Ahmed and I have to pick up the guests from the airport and the train station. Dani is babysitting the kids since she wanted to. She said she going to miss them all. I saw Ahmed going to the side of the house. It looks like he is on a call with someone it doesn't look like a normal call. Does this guy like someone. I didn't want to pry more into it when he is ready to tell he will.

I hope he does the right thing by introducing her to our family and ask for her hand for marriage. As I turned around to walk back in to the kitchen I heard him say "Zahra after Dani and Zohaib wedding I will talk to mom and dad to bring a proposal for you."
Which Zahra is he talking about. Is he talking about Zahra Khan. He was about to carry on but he had a shock when he saw me.
