Sunday 3:45 am I wake up to my phone buzzing. It's Noell's mom? "Hi Mrs. Dillison what's going on?" I say in a sleepy voice. "Noell has gone into labor she wants you and Leo here please come quick I'll send you the hospital information." She says quick. "Yes Ma'am I'm on my way." I say and hang up. "Baby wake up!" I say nudging Leo awake. "What's wrong?" He says in his sleepy voice rubbing his eyes. "Noell's gone into labor!" I say screaming at him trying to push him to fully get up. "Already it's literally not even 24 hours after her baby shower?" He says confused. "I know but we gotta go put some clothes on." I say running to me overnight bag and grabbing some sweatpants and a hoodie. I'm speeding in the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my face and hair up a little bit. I grab my Marc jacobs tote bag and my keys off the island and put my Tasman Ugg slides on. "COME ON LEO!" I say screaming from the front door. My anxiety is kicking in real bad I need to hurry up and get there. "Alright alright come on." He says walking slowly to the door.
4:58 am Leo and I are waiting in the waiting room for me to be called in to see the baby first. Noell made sure I was put on the family list so I can see the baby before anybody else came to visit. "Zoie Stundert please make your way to labor recovery room 465." I hear on the intercom. "Babe wake up I'm about to go see the baby." I say nudging sleeping Leo awake next to me. "Ight" he says and nods back to sleep. I get so nervous making my way to the recovery room. I'm nervous to see the baby especially I don't know why I just am. As I open the door the room is filled with flowers and balloons. "Hey boo!" I say playfully running over to Noell in the hospital bed. I hug her and kiss her on her forehead. "You ok?" I say kneeling down to look at her. "Traumatized." She says very serious. "Little miss Marïe is the reason I have to get stitches on my hoo ha!" She says laughing. "Sucks being you huh?" I say with a serious but playful look on my face. "HII Mrs. Dillison!" I say hugging Noell's mom next. "Hey baby thanks for coming so early in the morning." She says hugging me back. "God Mommy duties." I say finally walking over to Treymond who's standing over the babies hospital crib. "Hey Trey" I say hugging him. "How are you?" I say. "I'm good just happy both my girls are okay." He says with a faint smile. As I am now focusing on Baby Monáe I see what a beautiful baby girl my daughter has given the world. "I'm just so proud of you Noell I love you so much." I say tearing up. "Don't start crying Zoie just pick her up." Noell says with sass in her tone still laying in the hospital bed.
