┊𖤐₊˚. ࿐ྂ。Bloom awoke the next day to a whole lot of pain. Even as her eyes fluttered open and she grew aware of herself, she could feel that the ache in her back had spread down to the tops of her thighs rendering her entire back numb. The girl had never felt this much pain since she had broken her arm years ago. The smaller cuts and bruises on her body had healed but there were still some bruises that she could see would take some time to fade. The girl’s alarm blared on her nightstand but her even attempting to roll onto her back was out of the question. She knew if she even turned, the pain would get worst so she just laid there, letting the sound drill into her ears.
She had been lucky that Flora was not sleeping. Flora had woken up early this morning for her morning run. Bloom was never one for exercise but she might take up the girl's offer one of these days. She would first need to get rid of some of her habits like sleeping late. She always had to set multiple alarms just to ensure she got out of bed in time to get breakfast.
Back at home it was the same. She would get up around twelve on the holidays since she loved sleeping and it would always be a hassle to get herself up during school days.
Bloom heard shuffling and she figured it could only be Musa since Musa was usually got up after Flora. She was almost always followed by Bloom herself. Thus far Stella and shockingly Tecna had proved to be the worst, nearly always stumbling out of bed ten minutes before breakfast ended.
Bloom’s alarm kept blaring over and over and the girl buried her head into the pillows to block it out but then her bedroom door was slammed open and her head was jerking upright sending jolts of pain down her neck and into her back. Groaning she slowly slumped down flat again, turning her head sideways to watch the intruder’s approach. Stella looked comical with her satin pyjamas, long hair tied into a messy knot and anti-wrinkle, anti-aging, anti-everything night cream smeared across her face and if this had been any other situation, Bloom might have been laughing but she knew laughing would only cause her more pain.
In her short time at Alfea she had already learnt how volatile Stella could be in the mornings and she wisely stayed silent. The girl who had bragged at the beginning of the school year about waking up at six to get herself ready was nowhere to be found. Stella was the worst morning person of them all. She always retired to her room first which made Bloom wonder if the girl was even sleeping.
Stella shot Bloom a venomous look, before she jabbed her finger at the off button on the alarm, cursing under her breath, and stomping back out of the room.
Bloom knew she had to get up eventually since she had class today. She heard the sound of the door to the dorm opening and a rather chipper voice announced, “Good morning, good morning! It’s a beautiful day out there.” Flora’s happy voice was answered by two aggravated grunts from Stella and Tecna. Bloom laughed and pushed herself up to get ready for the day, groaning and grumbling the whole way.
She had struggled to get in the shower but she eventually washed up and got ready. The girl always enjoyed a bath but she was now grateful for their shower since she didn't know how she would have gotten out of the bath with her aching back.
Flora and Musa had helped Bloom down to the dining hall both giggling as they watched the girl struggle. They knew how painful it was but it was still funny to them. At the breakfast table it took Bloom a whole five minutes to just sit down. She at that moment was considering skipping all their classes and the sleeping off the pains.
But unfortunately her entire group had voted against it.“Bloom, you just gotta fight through that pain,” the blonde told her, poking at the aching muscles of Bloom’s back and smiling apologetically when the girl hissed in pain.
