┊𖤐₊˚. ࿐ྂ。The search for the Dragon Flame didn’t exactly get off to the start that the girls were hoping for. It didn’t seem to matter that exams were all but over and winter break was less than a week away, the professors of Alfea were still insisting on setting them mountains of homework every night. There was also the fact that the other girls still hadn’t completed their Magical Reality exam and the anxiety of waiting was clearly starting to get to them all. They were more irritable now than they were when they were taking their exams.

Bloom had finally been spending more and more time with Brandon. They'd take long walks outside either Alfea or Red Fountain till the reached the lake. The holidays were only two days away in which they wouldn't be able to see each other for two weeks so they've been spending most weekends with each other and even some weeknights.

“Who even goes out on a Thursday night of all nights?” Stella asked, looking out the window from her sprawl on Bloom’s bed. It was already dark outside even though it wasn't that late yet. “It really is miserable out there,” she continued, when Bloom ignored her.

The redhead turned to her friend as she held up her cardigan. “What’s your deal?” Bloom asked, as she held the cardigan to her body. She shook her head and tossed it to the side.

The entire contents of Bloom's wardrobe was decorating the floor of her room as she tried to search for an outfit both for her date tonight. “I thought you’d be happy for me.”

“I’m sorry, sweetie,” Stella sighed. “I am happy for you, I've just been feeling a bit neglected lately.”

Bloom frowned at her friend. “Neglected? I thought things between you and Sky were going well?”

“Oh, they are,” Stella assured her quickly.  “I think he might even be close to formally asking me to be his… well anyway, he left an assignment to the last minute so it’s been a while since we’ve been able to go out.”

“Didn't you go out with him two nights ago?” Bloom asked. She remembered Stella getting ready to go out when they were getting ready for bed. Bloom had been sure Sky had taken her out.

Stella sighed. “I went out with Levi.”

Bloom hadn't seen Levi a lot these past few weeks and when they do see each other, it's always just a small greeting before either of them had to leave to do something. According to Stella, Levi had been just as busy with his work but he at least had some free time to cheer up his best friend.

“But anyway, let’s get you ready, I’m assuming an inside activity?” Stella asked the girl as a way to distract her from her not so nonexistent dating life.

“I think so,” Bloom said. “Brandon said it was a surprise.”

“Okay. A bit vague but I think we can figure something out.” Stella gave the girl a once over as to see which outfit would fit not only the girl but the weather outside.

“Firstly, let's get it out of the way. What inside activity do you not want to do?” Stella asked the girl as she tried to see what she could put the girl in. Bloom thought about everything they could do inside that she didn't want to do. “Going to the cinema. I already went on a movie date with Eren and that didn't go as I would've liked.”

It was a disaster and she wanted to stay away from the cinema for as long as she could.

“Okay. No movie date then.”

Stella gave the girl a once over agina. “So I was thinking some layers, because you want to be covered up when you’re outside, and it's very chilly out. But you'd still want to be able to take the layers off when you’re inside,” Stella said expertly. The girl glanced down at the clothes scattered over the room.
