I open the door, and see a glaring pig- tailed girl before me.

"You must be the new roommate. " she says dauntingly.

I smile, and nod my head. I look around the room, walking to what I'm guessing is my side. "You didn't tell me your name. " she says, appearing right beside me, almost as if she teleported there.

"Y/n. My name is y/n." I say, rubbing my arm. "Hello. I'm Wednesday. I'm sure youve heard all about me and my adventures and toxicity."

I raise an eyebrow. "Um... Well..
No, not really. I haven't been told anything. "
I fiddle with my hands. She blinks, and stares out in space. "Oh, well I assure you, my personality isn't as rude. " she walks to her side and sits down. She types away, leaving me in peace.

Finally.

I'll be honest, I'm not a people person. Not a social butterfly at all. I hate starting conversations, physical touch, and those girls who think they are at the top of the food chain. What are those called again?? Ah, queen bees.

Whatever.

I plop down on the bed, sighing. I know I need to unpack, but it isn't my priority. I end up falling asleep, tired from the road trip, introductions, and hearing non stop hammering on the type writer.

I feel a light shake on my arms. I open my eyes, slowly. It was Wednesday. I sit up, rubbing my eyes. "Sorry. The principal wants all the students down in the archery field. Apparently we're having some gym day or something. "

I roll my eyes. Not to Wednesday, just to the thought of a bunch of sweaty teenagers all competing against each other.

"How long was I out? " I say, getting up and following Wednesday out of the dorm rooms. "About an hour. Don't worry, you don't snore. An upgrade compared to Enid. " Wednesday smirks.

I try to force a laugh, though it wasn't funny at all. "Hey! I heard that, you know! " Enid says, running down the stares, laughing. I continue walking, examining all the students. One student catches my eye, because he's staring right at me. He gives me a smile, then turns to go to the field. I stand there, emotionless. Don't worry, I'm not this dull all the time. I just don't feel comfortable here. I hate new places. Even as a child, when I was dying to come here, I hesitated at moments because of anxiety.

"Come on, y/n!! We have to be at the field! " Enid yells. I walk over, I'm in no hurry to participate.

"Okay students! In the lockerooms you'll find your gym uniform inside your locker.  If you don't know your locker number, or combination, come to me. " our gym coach says.

Soon the field becomes empty and there are around 5 students heading toward the coach. I see the same guy who smiled at me earlier, walking towards me.
"Hey, there. " he says, walking up to me.

"Hey yourself. " I say. Again, hate conversations with people I don't know.

"So, uh.. What's your name? " he says, waiting in line to talk to coach. "Y/n." He smiles brightly. "Pretty name. " he says. I feel warmth in my cheeks,  and I try to hide it.

"I'm Xavier. " I smile and nod my head. "Cool.. Uh, you might wanna turn around, " I say, trying to laugh at the sight of coach about to wack Xavier with her clipboard to get him to turn around.
"Oh! Sorry coach! I, uh, need my combination. "

Time passes and I change into my uniform and I run out, finding my place next to Wednesday. "What were you doing talking to Xavier?" She says, not looking at me.
