Life's a journey we must take,
Following a path that's been set.
We struggle through our daily wake,
Feeling happy, sad, bored, yet.

We go through ups and downs, we're tossed,
But why must we follow this line?
We all end up at death's door,
Yet we don't seem to mind.

I don't see the point in following rules,
Society's expectations, it's all such a bore.
Life is simple, but we create these walls,
Imprisoning ourselves and then we deplore.

So tedious and tiresome, it can be,
But that's just life, we must agree.
We can't change the path that's been set,
But we can make the journey less regret.
