Ch.22

You all were a defeated beaten mess, if it wasn't for you and Rin then training could have been way worse. You kept telling yourself perhaps Aiha would lighten up some but she's just dipping her toes in the water.

"I miss Minato sensei." Obito grumbles out as you walk home.

"Aiha Sensei is new at this. I'm sure she will lighten up. I had been her only student and my life was on the line with all of her training. It's effective though."

Obito looks up at the sky "Maybe. I don't like her tactics."

You smile softly "everything will work out for the better."

Obito looks at you. "Your very optimistic. I trust you so I won't worry to much about it."

You look at him "She'll come around."

"If you say so."

As you continue your walk you make a bold move and take Obitos hand. He blushes and entertwines his fingers with his. Your face heats up.

"I wonder if Kakashi will join us on more missions. Like old times."

Obito hmms "he's pretty into his anbu."

You nod "so when we are older do you want to join the police force?"

Obito smiles "how did you know?"

"Wild guess. I'd hope you would like to go on missions with me."

"Don't you want a team of your own? You'd make a great teacher."

You shake your head "probably not."

"We still have our team now. I miss missions."

You nod "I get that."

When you get to your home you reluctantly let go of obitos hand.

"I'll see you tomorrow?"

He gives you a thumbs up "you can bet on it."

-one month later-

Today you have a mission. It's the first mission since Obitos been back. Aiha has lightened up a bit thankfully so the mission might be enjoyable.

This mission is a escort mission, a jeweler needs a escort for a three day trip. It's like déjà vu.

"The client is very popular and he's been targeted for his goods. Apparently he has the best jewels around." Aiha says filling you all in.

You adjust your pack. "So is it dangerous?"

"It can be. That's why we are escorting him."

"So he's worth alot?" Obito asks.

Aiha nods "he's made jewelry for royalties. He's earned a high status."

Obito rubs the back of his head "So we are escorting a guy whose basically royalty?"

Aiha nods "Yes, and his goods."

Rin steps farward "So, We might meet bandits on the way."

Aiha nods "Let's hope not."

The walk to meet your client was comfortable and quiet. When you arive however all that changes.

"Ryu!?"

You couldn't believe your eyes, Ryu that annoying fan boy was already a successful jeweler and he's your client.

"F/n!!? Oh my gosh your stunning!!"

You blush at his comment. Obito groans.

"Not this guy again."

Ryu pulls you into a hug catching you of gaurd. You sware he sniffs your hair.

"I took over my dads business."

You frown, he can't be but a couple of years older than you.

"So young."

He chuckles "yes, rich and successful too. Bet you want a date now."

You sweat drop "n-no not really."

Ryu turns to look at Obito and he screeches.

"Y-you look different."

Obito glares at him

"I think he looks handsome." You pipe up making him blush.

"Alright, we should head out now if you don't mind." Aiha says stepping up to you all.

"Oh yes, my things. You can carry them right? Just kidding I have a cart!" He turns to Obito.

You look at him to see him not happy.

"It's apart of the mission Obito." Rin says gaining his attention.

Obito sighs and takes the handles of the cart.

"This sucks."
