"Do you think we should have left her behind?" Sam asked.
"You don't trust her?"
"It's not that I don't trust her, but I know how she acts and thinks when she sets her mind to something," Sam said as he sat down in a booth.
"Sammy...she said she'd catch up with us, so give her a little space," Dean replied as he slid into the booth with his brother. "Three menus and a beer."
"Make it two beers."
Sam's phone pinged.
"Sam, it's Destiny. I'm on my way. Dean gave me the key to the car so I could put some of my stuff up. Order me pancakes and orange juice."
Sam chuckled and texted her back.
"Sure thing."
"What will it be, boys?"
"I'll have the breakfast special," Dean replied as he handed the waiter his menu.
"I'll have two short stack pancakes with butter and syrup and bacon on the side and orange juice."
"Since when do you eat bacon?"
"Bacon's not for him it's for me," Destiny replied as she slid into the booth with Sam. "So mind ya business."
Dean raised an eyebrow up. "I forgot how much of a smart-ass you can be."
"I knew you were eyeing my ass, pervert," Destiny teased as she took a sip of her orange juice while Sam snorted his laughter back.
"All right, you two cut the crap," Sam said as he took a drink of his beer.
"Damn it...I forgot how much of a buzz-kill Sam can be," Destiny said as she smirked as she drank her juice. "I think that vampire that attacked me may have gotten my scent, so I'm pretty sure he'll be back."
"So, in other words, you pissed off the head vampire," Dean replied.
"Maybe, but it wasn't my fault," Destiny said as she took a bite of her pancake. "What happened that night? I went in thinking I had the upper hand, and it ended up getting my ass handed to me."
"Sounds about right," Sam replied as he ate his breakfast.
"What? Getting my ass handed to me?"
"No...you pissing off somebody."
Destiny smacked Sam on the shoulder playfully as she took a sip of her juice. "Don't start your shit," she said, smirking as she up and walked over to the bar and ordered some orange juice to go and asked to look at the menu.
"She's cute," Dean said as he watched Sam eye Destiny as she walked to the bar. "It may not be my business, but were you two ever close?"
Sam took a deep breath. "We were good friends," he said. "You know she hasn't had it easy."
"I don't think anyone has, Sammy," Dean replied as he took a sip of his beer.
"This line of work we do..." Sam replied.
"This line of work can suck ass?" Destiny asked as she took a sip of her orange juice.
"What? No..." Dean snorted his beer out of his nose and grabbed a napkin. "Don't sneak up on us like that."
"Be on your toes, Dean-O," Destiny replied as she threw some napkins at Dean. "Next time, say it don't spray it," she added.
"Bitch."
"Slutty ass-hat," Destiny replied as she grinned at Sam. "So...are we gonna shag-ass or we gonna sit here with our thumbs up our asses?"
"Sammy...this is going to be a long road trip."
Sam couldn't help, but laugh as he shook his head. "Did you two get off on the wrong foot when we all first met?"
"If you remember, Sam, when I first met y'all I didn't exactly make it easy for y'all." Destiny pulled her hair up in a ponytail. "I was a bit on the wild side growing up."
"Let's go head to the washateria and then we can go find another hotel or motel," Dean replied as he looked at Sam and Dean.
"What about the hotel we were staying at?" Sam asked.
"Oh, you mean the one that got destroyed by be?" Destiny asked as she raised an eyebrow at Sam. "If I remember correctly that clerk at the desk was pissed off about his lobby getting attacked."
"Fair enough."
"If you two are done I think we need to get a move on," Dean said as put the newspaper he was reading. "That vampire that attacked you wasn't around, but we need to find a case to do."
"Right," Destiny replied. "We can go to Harvelle's Roadhouse."
"Well...I guess we'll go there," Sam said as he he looked at Dean as he followed them to the car and they headed down the highway.
