Imagine being childhood friends with a superstar. Well... Imagine both your parents were friends so in turn you two were forced into playdates. You first met her when you were six. Jenna was a little crazy but that was something you liked about her. She always had a way of making life just a tad bit more exciting.

Her mother and your own would have wine night once a week which would be hosted in your house. Your father was usually gone those nights, something about business. You could always feel the tension between your parents when he left. Before you could question what it was there would be a knock on the door and then Jenna was distracted you from it all.

The two of you would either play in the backyard on your trampoline or in your bedroom. It was full of toys and all the hot wheels one can dream of. With you being the only child your parents were able to spoil you like that.

Your dad wasn't a fan of all the boy stuff though.

The sounds of laughter would always be heard from downstairs but the two of you drowned it out with your imaginations.

One day the two of you would be pirates on the hunt for the next treasure, the next you'd both be rockstars playing in Madison Square Garden. The point is that there was never a dull moment and Jenna became your best friend.

She even made the two of you matching bracelets. When she first gave it to you, you hugged her as tightly as you could. Jenna laughed before calling you a teddy bear. After that you begged your mother to take you to build a bear and the two of you got matching teddy bears.

It was like this for a while until she turned nine. That was when she started acting. Of course the two of you were still close but she didn't have as much time to hangout with you. Between acting and school things were Moe hectic for your friend.

When you turned twelve things got a lot more intense for her. With time people drift away. Your mother told you that when she found you sadly cuddling your bear one night. Jenna was begining her career and her mom stopped bringing her over for wine nights. The two of you would call and text just to keep in touch. Her mother made sure to invite your family over for dinner every other week but it was never the same.

It wasn't like you two just called it quits. She was still a friend in your eyes, but something was different. You both were growing up. She was making a name for herself and you...

Well you were never one for change.

Your father didn't seem to care about that. When you were thirteen you came home from school one day and found your parents screaming at each other in the living room. You didn't know what to do, you just froze right there in the doorway.

He cheated. You glared at your father from the doorway as he told your mother about his affair. Turns out he wasn't really working night shifts and going on weekly business trips. How could you have been so dumb? You should've known that your father wasn't even that valued in the company.

At least it wasn't just you who was blindsided. Your mother cried when he confessed. His eyes left her pathetic form and turned to you. Your cut hair and boyish clothes seemed to have been the icing on the cake for him.

He didn't even sugarcoat it when he told you and your mother he built a whole new family for himself. Turns out you have three half siblings and he loves them more than he could have ever loved you.

You turned into a dark cloud.

Of course, you've always been more closed off than the other kids, but now you were awful to be around. Your friends stopped hanging out with you at school and your mom got called in for multiple parent teacher conferences.

Dad left and your mother tried to build the house back together. You respected her for it, but you knew she couldn't fix what he had broken.

Jenna knew all about this after you ranted to her one night. She was exhausted and you felt bad for bombarding her with your problems but she told you it was okay. You knew she was only saying that to be nice but you stayed anyways. Turns out she had to shoot a scene the next morning. You apologized, she forgave.

That wasn't the end of it though.

What's something almost every delinquent does when daddy goes bye bye?

You started smoking pot and hanging out with the wrong crowd. Some days you'd even drown your sorrows in a bottle of whiskey or tequila, whichever was available.

You came home crossfaded one night at the age of fifteen and had a fight with your mother. It was strictly verbal, her never believing in hitting you. Your father would disagree but that conversation was for another day.

She kicked you out of the house. Something about teaching you a lesson.

Yet again you found yourself in Jenna's room. She let you in through the window and held you while you cried.

It wasn't your proudest moment. After you cried she also let out some pent up emotions. You were there for her and she was there for you.

Unfortunately your mind was far to hazy and you made a mistake.

One moment your wiping your eyes with your sleeve and then your looking at your friend. Your eyes drifted towards her nose which turned into drunk-you attempting to count all of her freckles.

She let out that adorable giggle that had a grip on your heart. The sound broke you out of your daze and had you look back into her eyes.

The moment was so tender and soft. You're not sure who made the first move but next thing you know your lips are pressed together. It was a small peck and then you two let out a small laugh. Then your hand found it's way to the back of her neck and hers found it's way onto your cheek.

Next thing you know the two of you are fully making out and she's reaching for your shirt and you're taking her shorts off.

The next morning you woke up and left.

She called you and you answered. You told her you weren't mad and that everything was okay. Then you told her you'd rather not talk about it and she respected your wishes.

The truth is that that night was by far the best night of your life. Sure, you had trouble remembering bits and pieces due to your alcohol intake. But all in all it was amazing.

You gave your virginity to your bestfriend and had no regrets about it.

Well, until you did of course. You loved Jenna but you knew the two of you would never work. She was a dream chaser and you were someone who won't even live to be 20.

The point is you weren't made for that kind of life and she wasn't ever going to be yours.

Jenna was climbing her way up and your were digging your way down with every wrong move.

She deserved better.
