Studying and Girlfriends

My eyes were fixed on the computer screen. Not looking away for even a second. I knew I had to finish this SA by the next week and I knew I was busy every day except today. So, I wasn't letting anything distract me. 

"Hun. C'mon it's 1 in the morning and you need sleep."

My girlfriend slung her arms onto my shoulders, leaning down and placing her head on my left one. she started reading what I had wrote as I kept going.

"Couple more minutes," I somehow mustered out. My voice was deep and harsh. I tried to clear my throat but to no luck. She let out a long sigh and started playing with my hair. My short curly hair sprung up and down as she moved her hands through it. I tried to keep my focus on my SA as much as I could but it started to become difficult. 

"Sweetheart. I know it's late but i need to finish this." I told her, not taking my eyes off of the computer screen. I had 2 volleyball games I had to play and I was travelling to Queensland to meet up with my family for the rest of the week. I was struggling to focus after the communication and my girlfriend picked up on a mistake right after the silence started. She ended up convincing me into going to bed. I knew i wouldn't have much time the next day but if I did it before my volleyball game I knew I would probably be ok. So, alas I went to bed.
