"Hello contestants, please arrive and take a seat at the table" An unknown voice said. I gulped but just did what I was supposed to do, or told to do, I guess. Everyone was starting at their surroundings, including me. Again, the mysterious voice was heard again.

"Welcome everyone, you all seem new to this. Of, course there is a prize after this game and that is a billion of dollars. The game is simple, just try to survive and gathered or team up to find out who's the murder. "

A murdered. This is very risky and just for what? for a billion dollars. I never sign up for this, maybe I should have run late to work. This wouldn't have ever happened. Can't even cry since all of these people are Infront of me. On top of that, that won't fix the situation am in right now. I can tell a lot of people were worried and even regret their decision by greeting themselves to someone else. Some people had left now the table. How will we survive?

"You will now go to your room and write in your journal; you will have to write on it every day. It will be red if you are eliminated, hopefully you right something useful that people can use clues to figure who's the murder." People started heading to their rooms to write something in their journals and then headed back to the dining table, I did the same as everyone else.

"There is food in the fridge to make, a bathroom and a tv for entertainment. All you need is here so don't worry about that. One more thing, murder your only allow to kill one person each night, if you kill more than that you will be kicked out. Good luck, let the fun begin, the murders time to play." A giggle was heard after that sentence. This random person is a maniac. Some people started to pray for their life's.

The lights flickered. The person on the mic wasn't lying when it was the murders turn. It was pitch black now, couldn't see anyone. Am guessing the murdered had a night vision or something. I heard someone walked towards me, I rushed and walked away immediately. I need to live no matter what. You can hear yelling from someone. The lights flickered once again, and it was on.

It didn't seem like anyone went missing yet until I stepped on something and looked down and scream. Backed up immediately from the body. Oh my gosh. The person had been stabbed but there was no weapon left there. Guess the murdered took it. Maybe there is a detective. The random voice from the speaker was heard once again.

"Emma was stabbed in the chest 5 times. Discuss and insert a vote when you're ready, you have 20 seconds." The timer already had begun no doubt. I didn't know anyone so I didn't want to point fingers and accused someone but the faster the murdered is gone, the faster we can leave this horrible place. From all the panicking I couldn't handle it anymore, so I decided to say something.

"It's too early to vote, we should wait for the next night." Why did I say this? People seem to start to calm down and nodded their heads. It was probably the best idea either way. But still, this means the murdered is still on the lose ready to play once again. Another person would be sacrificed. No one inserted a vote except one person.

"Seems like no one is going to be voted out for tonight, everyone have a good night and see you tomorrow." This means we are safe now, right? I need to look closely at everyone to see if they are acting suspicious. Need to make some friends too, it's time to get out of the awkward zone. But suddenly the same guy who was looking at me weird earlier approached me. I was about to back up, but he started to apologize about earlier.

"The names Marco by the way" He looked at me up and down.

"Adeline" looked at him in the eyes not wanting to break eye contact with him.

"Want to be friends? I know it's strange but if we team up, it will be faster to figured out who the murdered is. Dream work makes the teamwork, doesn't it?" Smiling at me.

That was a bit odd and childish, but it was my main goal to make friends. Nodding my head and returned the smile.

A random girl approached; it was the girl who voted while everyone else did not. She seemed mad for some reason, starting at me like if I did something wrong or something I wasn't meant to do.

"Who do you think you are?" She questioned me.

"Pardon?" looking at her.

"Your dumb idea is going to get someone killed you know that right?" She yelled at me.

I gulped and looked down, saying nothing.

"Don't yell at her, she's right it is too early to vote. What even is your name and who do you think you are?" He looked at her up and down.

"Why should I tell you, plus this isn't your business" She tried to push him.

He grabbed her arms stopping her and said "Name."

"J-Jessica." She blushed a little.

Marco let go of her hands and backed off speaking to her, "Now leave me and her alone."

After that she left and didn't come back. She was looking at Marco a lot for the rest of the time. Neither Marco nor I cared about her. I know he didn't care because I can tell by his eyes, since he didn't look back at her at all. He kept his eyes on me.

Marco and I hang out of the rest of the time until it was time for everyone to head to their new current bedrooms. A *click* noise was heard one again. Locking everyone in their bedrooms. I lay down and wished for the best. I could hear something fell but it seems like whatever fell wasn't in my room. How clever, maybe giving the murdered more instructions about the game. Thats how my idea hit. Maybe I can try to and sneak in everyone's room to see.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep but it didn't seem to work so instead I'll write on my journal. This one girl Jessica didn't seem to like me. I started writing about how I shouldn't become friends with her or even get near her. But next to her name I'll write innocent, since she doesn't seem like a threat but instead desperate to get rid of the murdered just like everyone else.
