The wrong answer

Everyone heads to the living room. I was dying of fear knowing I wouldn't be able to say anything to anyone about what happened last night. That's one question answered anyway. Now, I cannot be allowed to be voted out as assumed as the killer. Seems like there isn't a way out. There are only two choices. Get voted out for being seen as a suspect of being the killer or get killed by the murdered. No matter which decision you pick, both leads to dead itself.

Marcus approach to me and spoke "You alright, seems like you saw a ghost?"

I gulped.

"Yeah, am fine it's just I didn't get much sleep yesterday." I faked a smile.

Out of nowhere voice from the speakers were heard.

"Good morning, everyone! Here are the results of what you voted last night!"

The room had stood in silence.

"Ravon was..."

The only way we all can leave this place is if we guess the killer right.

"Not the killer, this is what his journal says; Hannah was acting strange earlier, I heard her talked with someone last night. I suspect she might be the killer."

Laughter and giggles coming out of the speaker. How can he find this funny? No. This isn't any good. Someone will die again tonight.

The guy on the speaker didn't say anything anymore. Everyone turned to Hannah. No. It can't be. Another suspect. Hannah laughed nervously saying she didn't know what Ravon was talking about, but she wasn't talking to anyone that night. What a dumb move. Now everyone suspects her more, instead she could had made up a better lie. But no, she decided not to. Everyone except me wanted to submit another vote.

However, that isn't going to happen until the killer's move is done. We just need to wait till it's 6:00p.m. The thought of what was seen last night didn't seem to be getting out of my head anytime soon. I couldn't be the only one who saw this right.? I tried to stay in place and not freak out. If I freaked out everyone would ask what is wrong with me. Can't just tell them. Someone would be sent to killed me if I speak. Along with the person who will be voted out, most likely Hannah. We will both be lying on this damn floor, dead.

Please someone, just help us and get us out of here. Even if I do pray, no one will come here. Only God knows where we are located at. This place must be very far from the city. Slightly got up and went to the kitchen to get a snack. Perhaps I decided to cook for the whole team. I made some white rice and some chicken. Wait, what if people think am suspicious and think am only cooking so no one votes for me? I'll risk it anyway.

I placed the food in the kitchen counters.

"Is this poisoned?" Hannah asked.

This girl can't be serious.

"Pardon?" Glaring at her.

"You heard me." She glared at me back.

"Uh huh, perhaps you might get voted out next as a suspect?" I smirked knowing that this conversation would be over.

"If you don't want to eat, fine but don't take other people's appetite away. I am sure there is people who are dying of hunger." I smiled at her.

"She's right I'll have some myself, am starving. Don't mind if I do" Marcus said giving me a warm smile.

"Of course! Take some!" I smiled back at him giggling while nodding my head.

I can sense the anger and jealousy inside Jessica. Clearly didn't know why though. Marcus just wanted to eat something right? Jessica moved next to Marcus and tried to start a conversation with him. But he didn't seem interested at all in the first place. He left and sat in the living room eating his plate. Everyone else grabbed a plate.

Marcus yelled and said, "This is so good Adeline! How can you make so much of a good food with so little stuff we have even in the fridge?"

"Practice, I enjoyed cooking a lot, back at my house," I spoke.

Then everyone in the room started to compliment me saying I should cook for the more often. I know there not just trying to be nice. They are trying to take advantage of me. I hate when people do that. However, if I keep this up. Absolutely no one will suspect me as the murdered. What a relief.

After everyone ate, Marcus came up to me one again and started talking to me. He kept mentioning how good the food was.

"Hey Adeline," He was giving me a warm slime.

"What's up?" Questioning him.

"Do you think we can still be friends after we get out of here" Even though he has rosy cheeks I can slightly tell that they got redder than it was before. Was he blushing?

"Even if I wanted too, if we don't get the murder out. Only one of us are going to leave this place." I said to him, which made his smile go away.

That person has to be me, am sorry Marcus but I need to leave this horrible place.  Even if it means betrayal.

"Well get the killer voted out am sure of it" Marcus said looking at me.

I sighed and finally said, "Yes, Marcus. I would like to be friends after this."

Giving him a warmest smile.

The smile and blush came back. I didn't think any of it. Still wondering if he was one of the guys on the same van as me. Remembering that I fell on top of someone when I was shoved into the van, was a guy. Only knowing this because the voice was manly. He held my hand and told me to calm down because they weren't going to let me out of the van. I notice myself blushing after thinking about it.

Nonsense. I shake my head like a wet puppy trying to dry the water off my fur. Marcus looked at me confuse. Embarrassed that I started looking down. I completely forgot that he was there right next to me. At least it wasn't that embarrassing, right?
