Aki Hayakawa was an ignorant stubborn man. So upon the several letters he revived for his yearly doctors appointments, he of course ignored them to prioritise his work life. As the years passed by, several of his colleagues could tell something was clearly up. Everyone must've had enough when one day he was asked to stay behind at Makimas office after a meeting.

"Aki, you mean a lot to everyone here you know that don't you?" she began, intertwining her fingers together and placing them on her lap.

"yes? is something wrong?" he questioned as he sat back down in his seat, somehow knowing a lecture was coming.

"We're all concerned about your health. Please go and see a doctor before you resume work. I just won't allow you to continue with your current health," she said sighing and standing up giving him a slip of paper for a weeks leave
"don't try and escape it somehow, i've already emailed them telling them you'll be coming." she said opening the door and taking her leave, leaving the man sat in there alone.

Aki sighed to himself, if he just sucked it up and got whatever he needed to over with in a week, he could go back to work and carry on like he'd wanted too. He picked up his work bag and his sword, opening the door and heading for his house to drop his stuff off.

The walk wasn't long, yet wasn't short. To Aki, this was one of the things he assumed kept his health good as he was getting the right amount of exercise in the morning and night. The wind swayed the trees branches, it was currently autumn so they were starting to fall into piles and clumps, spread across the floor as the wind blew them into the road, un-arranging them from their neat piles. Aki focused on things that weren't important, he put detail into things and fussed over tiny mistakes most people wouldn't notice. Maybe that's one of the reasons he never tended to his appointments, he was more bothered about the things that shouldn't concern him.

He opened his door to be hit with the comforting smell of cinnamon. One of Akis favourite scents. He usually had several candles lit around his house, he liked to keep things organised. Despite
the small size of his house, he unfortunately enough shared it with Denji and Power, who he made sure had their own rooms to prevent the rest of his clean house from becoming a pig sty.

Aki wrote a quick note, letting the two know he wouldn't be back for a bit as he was being forced to go on this ever so fun trip to the hospital. He left them roughly 3000 yen to buy take out with whilst he was gone, as he didn't want to risk letting them cook and and making a mess of the kitchen which somehow they'd most likely manage to do anyway.

Aki set off walking to the hospital, he looked at his surroundings, not knowing it would be the last time he got to see and feel them in person.
