As everyone finished up dinner I ate in silence. I didn't want to talk to anyone especially Alvar who wouldn't stop glancing at me or nudging me with his knee under the table. I had a slit in my dress so I could feel every inch of the fabric of his pants and the heat radiating from him. I'm sure the only reason I didn't move my leg was because I was cold.
"Marty, why don't Taryn and Anise stay with us tonight at our hotel?" The yellow haired twin winks at me and continues talking. "It will be nice to get to know more people from our school."
My head snaps towards him as Marty had told me that neither of Thelins sons would be attending my school. "Aren't you and your brother going to another school?"
"Oh no my brother is going to another school, I'm going to B.A.A." Alvar smiled at me and rested his hand on my thigh. He started tracing circles with his thumb. My heart started beating faster. "Anyway I think it would be a good idea to spend time together don't you?"
His question was directed at Aunt Marty and I could see the glint in her eyes as she started nodding. She smiled and my body tensed causing Alvar to squeeze my thigh. "I think that's a wonderful idea," she turns to Thelin and rests a hand on his arm. "The kids would benefit from spending time together."
"Oh, grand," he didn't need much convincing. "Though you'll have to share rooms-
"That's expected," Aunt Marty adds, she smiles and starts another conversation with her friend. I glance at Moony and he's looking at me from over his glass. Fear sparks in my gut as I realize he's drinking blood. Alvar tightens his hold on me by digging his nails into my thigh. I wince inwardly and glance down at his hand. He leans over and whispers in my ear.
"Look at what you did," he lowers his eyes to his lap and I realize he has something large in his pocket. My eyes widen slightly. "Smelling your fear..."
He doesn't finish his sentence before boldly moving his hand up my thigh and resting his hand right before me. I look straight ahead before crossing my legs which accidentally traps his fingers between my legs. I glance over at him and he glances down at his lap again. I follow his gaze and he's huge. I can't help it as I start to get more wet.
Taryn pulls my chair out for me as he talks to Crest. I stand abruptly and walk into the hallway. Someone grabs my arm harshly turning me around. It's Aunt Marty and she's glaring at me.
"When your over there you need to be respectful and lady like," she pulls me in closer. "You need to accept anything they give you... anything." She gives me a look and I stifle a face of horror at what she expects me to do.
She pushes me away and smiles.
"Have fun hunny," she tilts her head. "Oh and Taryn will have to stay behind with me so just Anise is going."
"Mom they invited both of us," Taryn objected.
"But I need your help later sweetie and you know I have a hard time by myself," she grabs his hand, says her goodbyes, then quickly leaves.
"Do they have something going on," Moony appears by my side and his hand rests on my back. He gives me a look as if saying what was that all about. he smiles at me, expecting me to find it funny also. I frown at him and look away.
Alvar grabs my wrist and pulls me roughly away from Moony. His black nails digging into my skin. I start following Alvar and his brother down the long hallway into the entrance when Moony's fingers slip into my dress halting me.
"Why don't you stay with us instead of the creepy twins over there," he nods his head at Alvar and his brother. Alvar let's go of my wrist and steps back. I look back at him the look he gives me causes goose bumps to pop up all over my body. "We'll what do you say?"
"Um..." I bring my hand to the back of my dress and unhook Moony's fingers from my dress. "My aunt told me to go with Thelins family, I wouldn't want to disobey her."
I turn and start walking back to Alvar, the satisfaction on his face is like a cat that just caught his mouse. A shiver runs down my spine as he once again grabs my wrist. I glance back at Moony and his face is twisted in rage.***
The hotel we end up at rises into the clouds. It's obsidian black and each window looks like a star in the sky. I smile before I'm yanked of the side walk by Alvar who is rushing us back to his room. Once we're in the elevator I turn to Alvar.
"Shouldn't we wait for your brother and father?" He glances at me from the corner of his eye and smiles. He's only five inches taller than me but his personality adds another five. The dimples in his cheeks disappear as the elevator opens before our stop and a girl gets in. She's tall and her silver hair says she's an elf. She's dressed in a robe that's loosely tied, exposing her cleavage.
I can't help but stare. Her eyes cut down to mine and a lazy smile appears on her face. I blush and look down. Alvar grabs my waist and pulls me in tight. I look up at him and he's glowering at the elven girl. She smiles at him then returns her gaze to me. She raises her hand before putting down her fore finger and pinky then she wiggles her middle two. I gape at her. A blush covering my whole body. I squeeze my legs together and Alvar's hand slide up to the back of my neck. The door opens and Alvar practically drags me out into the hall way.
