Romeo
I was definitely in an awkward situation, and I wasn't entirely sure what to do. Angel had planned for us to meet, but I never told her about our previous interaction with each other. I wonder what she'll think if I tell her, I really don't want to upset her, she's been so good to me and honestly, this is the happiest I've been in a long while, even before going to prison. I'll have to find the right time to tell her everything and hope for the best.
Now let's get back to the conversation with Angel and her powerful friend.
"Well, remember the surprise? I'd like you to meet my powerful friend, Naomi Castillo," Angel said giving an awkward smile.
"She's the powerful friend?" I spoke.
"Yeah, I told her a bit about you," she said.
"Well okay, and yeah we've already met actually," I replied.
She looked at me a bit puzzled.
"It's a long story that I'll explain later," I said still trying to get Naomi to stand on her own.
"Hey Angel, you look real pretty right now, you're practically glowing!" Naomi said still slurring her words.
"Uh yeah, thanks, are you okay?" Angel said worriedly.
"I'll get her over to the couch real quick so she's more stable, can you grab her a bag just in case and some water to sober her up a bit?" I said picking Naomi up.
"Yeah, okay just make sure she's okay," Angel said as she hurried off to grab them.
"Oh she really likes you lover boy, but feeling how strong you are I can see why," Naomi teased as I brought her over to the couch.
"You're drunk, you should try and focus on getting sober if you're going to try and help," I replied slightly annoyed.
I have a good thing going with Angel right now, she makes me feel like a person again. I'm not trying to have Naomi mess that up.
"Here you go," I said as I laid her on the couch, "Just try to stay up and get comfortable."
"Thank you sweetie, god you're such a gentleman," Naomi teased again.
"What do you want from me?" I asked.
Just then, Angel came rushing back in carrying the bag and a couple of bottles of water.
"Is she okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, she's fine, she just needs to sober up," I replied.
"Yeah, I could really use some water," Naomi said reaching out for one of the bottles.
"I'm sorry chico, I had no idea she was in this state," Angel said apologizing on Naomi's behalf while handing it over and sitting down beside her to check on her.
Angel really lives up to her name. I swear she's damn near perfect, she's still worried about helping me and looking out for her friend at the same time. She's not even worried about what all of this could do to her or her life, she's just worried about us. My body started to feel warm, my heart began to race, and I couldn't help but smile. I'm not sure but I think I'm falling hard for her. "Is this what love feels like?" I thought to myself.
"It's okay babe," I said smiling.
Angel looked up quickly and gave me a smile, I think it made her happy for me to say it out loud in front of someone else.
"Awe, you two are adorable together," Naomi said breaking away from drinking her water.
"I know," I said still smiling at Angel.
