(A/N- look it's me. After like- six months. Todays starting message is school sucks, and you shouldn't do it. Also I got the game Pokémon violet, so I have been obsessed with Pokémon for the past month. I was going to work on this earlier this week, but wound up playing Pokémon instead. This year I'm gonna replay moon, play, white, and finish sword and violet. There are so many babes in this game, it's great.)

It had been about 2 weeks since Cedric's plan to get the amulet of Avalor had been a bust, with Sofia managing to break her own spell. It seemed Cedric was still in mourning. All he did was mope around, trying out the occasional spell.

Today he was actually trying out a potion. You left the tower for a second, and the next thing you knew you came back to him working in that cauldron of his.

"Whatcha doing?" You asked him while walking up to his work table. You peered around his shoulder to catch a glance, but he didn't seem to have any sort of book or instructions open. "Working blind, huh?"

"You'll see, you'll see [Name]! It's a little surprise I'm concocting, one of the first potions I ever committed to memory!" He told you, seemingly giddy. It was the happiest you had seen him in quite some time. You had no potions in your mind, only spells, so it meant you would just have to wait for him to finish.

You grabbed a book on proper wand handling and plopped down on the floor next to him, he glanced down at you before going back to his work.

The book held many secrets of the wand. And by that it means all this book told you was where to put your wand, how to keep it clean, how to make sure it wouldn't mess up, and the best wands for the best spells. The sort of thing that no sorcerer ever followed, never in your life had you seen a person follow good wand care. You yourself just kept it in your sleeve or pocket half the time, never in your life would you consider buying yourself a wand protector.

In total, wands are pretty much just glasses. Fragile, but nobody ever puts them in their protective case.

The door all of a sudden creaked, and you looked up to see two princesses. The same ones as always.

"Mr. Ceedric!" Sofia shouted, despite the fact she could've just, I don't know, said it quieter? Anyways, Cedric screamed like a little girl while turning 180• to face the kids.

"Princess Sofia, princess Amber. Surely they teach you how to knock in that royal school of yours?" He asked, scolding the two.

"I'm sorry, the door was opened," Sofia told him. Whoops. That might've been on you.

Cedric glared down at you, so you very quickly went back to reading the wand book.

"We've come to ask a favor... go ahead Sofia,"
Amber said, giving Sofia a nudge.

"Soo... I was wondering... do you have a spell that can make things float?" Sofia asked hesitantly. Please, a levitation spell? That was one of the easiest ones out there.

"Do I have a spell that can make things float?" Cedric asked condescendly, before changing up his tone to "...do I have a spell that can make things float?"

He took a second.

"Oh yes, yes, of course! Floatagus, hoverabu!" He flicked his wand a beaker began to float in the air.

"That's terrific 😃" Sofia commented.

"Yes it is" Cedric said as he began to float the beaker around the room, very proud of his work. Wayyyy too proud for one of the most well known spells in the world. Well, maybe. The whole world hasn't been discovered yet. There's a chance this place just goes on past infinity. Right next to your kingdom is a mist that nobody wants to enter. Some have, but they just never came back. Trippy amiright? But even past that mist, floating is pretty fucking easy.
