I wake up and look around, im in a small wooden room with a cozy bed. I remember it: Im in Finland! I walk down the stairs, and outside its still dark. I look on my phone and decide to tekst Peter.
Hey Peter, Can we maybe do something together today? And then i'll explain everything.
I sigh and send it. I get a respond right away.
We could do my tasks with the reindeers together? Can you come at eleven at the bridge?
I smile short.
I'll be there!
I respond. I fast drink my coffee and walk outside to the bridge we met. I see Peter standing there and i feel myself getting warm again. I walk to him and he smile short. 'Are you ready to help me?' he says. I nod and we walk to the reindeer heard.
He tells me something about them. there are Ten females and four Males. One female is the lead, her name is Kira. There is also one baby reindeer a male his name is Nico he is the son of Kira. I sit on the ground and Nico walks up to me. I do my hand before me and he sniffs it. He makes a little sound and goes with his head to my hand. I giggle and stand up. Peter smiles and walks to a little house on the field. 'Is this your house?' i ask. He shakes his head 'This is my house where i sometimes stay, but mostly i stay in my house in the village' he answers. He puts the key into the door and i hear barking from dogs. He looks at me before he opens the door. 'Are you afraid of dogs?' he says. I shake my head and smile. He smiles and opens the door. Two big dogs come to us. Two Sint-bernard and one little old looking French-bulldog. He points at one Sint-bernard the biggest one. 'This is Kaya' he says. And then he points at the other Sint-bernard 'and that is Nina!' And then he points at the french-bulldog 'And that is Roberto' I giggle. He looks at me with a grin on his face 'whats so funny?' i look at him. 'Roberto?' i say with a little voice. He nods and i laugh short. Then we walk away to the heard with Kaya and Nina behind us the french-bulldog stays home. When the reindeers see the dogs they starts walking slowly. 'Kaya!' Peters says and he whistles. Kaya runs to the heard walking around them. Nina flies behind her before Peter even can say something. He shakes his head 'she is young she needs to learn it' he says and he laughs short. I smile and look at the dogs. We walk trough the fields and he looks at me. I pretend like i don't see he is looking and look still at the dogs. 'Im sorry about yesterday.....' he says. I look at him 'Im sorry to....' i say. 'It's just....my ex husbands cheated on me.....with another girl and-' i sigh 'i just don't think i really trusted someone sinds back then...' i say.
Its silent 'Im really sorry to hear that...' he says. I look at him and smile. 'Im also sorry about that with 'Im sure you have a wife home waiting for you' thing' i say. He shrugs his shoulders. 'No big deal...' 'So where are you from?' he says. 'Im from New-york and you?' i say. 'I come from London!' I smile and we walk farther onto the fields. 'Where are we going?' i say after a few minutes of being silent. He smiles. 'You'll see' I look at him curious and look before me. I see a little city. We walk to it and he stops. He whistles and the dogs turn the heard to the little port from a pastureland. They go inside and when the dogs walk out of it Peter closes the port. We walk into the little city and he tells the plan. 'We are going to the little hospital from all the villages close and the city!' he says. I look at the little hospital and we walk inside it. We walk to the kids room and Peter knocks on the door. A friendly looking woman opens the door. She is a bit fat and has brown eyes and blond hair. Her cheeks are rosie and she smiles at us. She has a hospital uniform. She hugs Peter 'Good to see you Peter!' she says. And then she looks at me. 'Oh! Is this your girl friend Peter?' she asks and winks at him. Peter turns red and i giggle. 'No she isn't! Eh this is.......' he looks at me. 'Melanie ma'm!' i say and shake her hand. She smiles and walks inside.
