-(Seyia first person)-
It's been a few days since the battle. People were tired, we were tired. We needed days to rest up before what we knew we had to do.
-
We waited till night. The village grew in a half circle around the cove of the Tree of voices.
Neytiri wore a shawl covering her hair, while we all wore white tree sap down our noises.
Jake and Neytiri, mother and father, carried Neteyam's body on a giant curled up leaf. His hands and feat were binded. The leaf was full of water and flowers to represent easing passing and the flow of life itself.
Spider and Kiri rode on a Ilu behind mother and father. I rode wit Lo'ak on the back of his. We followed Neteyam's body out to where he'd be laid to rest.
We all stopped once we reached a huge floor pad of sea annenomes. Jake and Neytiri looked at Neteyam one last time, inviting us over to see him before he went.
We all said our goodbyes, with tears pouring down our cheeks like the forest on a stormy day.
Jake and Neytiri gently grabbed his body caring him down to the floor, where the annenomes reached out and grabbed him. Like how Neteyam's little hand first reached out to touch mothers hand.
We all stared down in disbelief. Lo'ak and I shared a hug as we struggled to watch both our life long friend, be returned back to Ewya.
My whole family shared a long hug as we mourned the loss of the first son.
We all grew closer to land as we traveled back on our Ilu's. Tears flowing out of our eyes like a heavy river stream.
As soon as we reached land. I ran to my hidden grove and cried, I just sat there and cried. Trying to process all the thoughts.
