I was shocked at the sight before me. Clearly nothing was going as planned. “Well we were going to wait until next week but the sooner the better,” my mother said. “Why is it better?” I asked. “Yesterday, Zayn told us that he couldn’t get married until next year because of a tour coming up with the boys so we would have to push the wedding back. Not wanting to wait or waste time, I called your father to tell him and they decided to get on a plane and got here this morning,” Yazer said. I thought about it and then looked at Zayn who met my eye and shrugged. Maybe this was his plan to stop the marriage but backfired. Damn parents, always one step ahead. “Mummy, can I talk to? Alone?” I asked my mother. She looked at me and gave me the ‘I-know-what-you-want-talk-about’ look. “No. the answer to you everything you want to talk is no. It’s not going to work,” she said back with a smug look on her face. My dad chuckled next to her and so did everyone else in the room, except Zayn. Before I could even present my case, my mother shut me down. I walked out of the room and out of the house. I sat on the door steps and placed my head in my hands. I heard the door open and close and felt someone sit next to me. I thought it was my mom or Nicole but it was the last person I thought it would be. “My plan backfired,” he said. I laughed lightly, “Yeah I figured that out.” I picked my head up to look at him. His hair was flat and messy, but sexy. His cheekbones were high outlining his beauty with his sculpted jaw line. He turned to look at me and his face expression changed. He wiped his hand across my cheek. I felt my cheeks burn up under his touch. I turned my head away and wiped the rest of my cheeks. I didn’t realize that I was crying. Zayn coughed awkwardly, making me look at him. “Sorry about that. I don’t know what came over me.” I nodded in reply. “It didn’t mean anything more than it was, a polite gesture. In fact, I should be the one crying. I’m stuck with you.” I looked at him, all baffled. One minute he was being kind the other he was back to being a dick. “Oh and Nicole was wondering what you are doing tonight?” “I’ll tell her later.” “What are you doing tonight?” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, getting up and wiping my butt. “I’m not worrying. Just wondering. I might come out too,” he said, mimicking my actions. “Why?!” He shrugged. “Kind of just want to go out and have a drink.” I nodded. It was understandable. “Where were you planning on going?” he asked me again. I looked at him with an annoyed expression. “Just out to dinner,” I lied. I was really planning on going to a blub with the girls but I couldn’t tell him that. He looked at me with suspicion, “Is Waliyha going with you?” “Uhm yeah. She’s coming over. Then we’re gonna go.” “What time is coming over?” “Why are you asking so many questions?” “Just-““Wondering?” I guessed. The corners of his lips edged up. “Yeah. I’ll drop her off when I’m ready to go.” “No! It’s fine. I’ll take her now so you don’t have to have to come. We want to leave early so yeah. Better if she just comes with me. She’s staying the night too.” “You’re weird,’ he said. What? Personally, I thought I was fine. Only my heart rate was increasing, breathing was heaving, and I was feeling a bit warm. Why? I didn’t want to get caught.

I huffed and went to go open the door. I turned the knob but it wouldn’t open. I wiggled it and pushed the door. “Ah!” I groaned. I turned to look at Zayn. He had his eyebrows raised. “It’s locked,” I stated. “It can’t be. I didn’t lock it,” he said as he pushed past me and wiggled the knob. “I didn’t say you did,” I mumbled. He continued to wiggle it until he gave up. “What are we going to do?” he asked. “You could knock or ring the door bell. That’s what people usually do.” He gave me a death stare while I flashed him a cheesy smile. He did exactly what I suggested. It was another five minutes before Yazer Uncle opened the door. “What the hell dad?! You knew I was out there,” Zayn said as I quietly slipped past the two men. “I thought it would be good bonding time.” “I’m not going to bond with her,” Zayn said, angrily. “See Mummy?! He’s mean!” I said childishly clinging to my mother’s arms. She shot me dirty look telling me to let go. I let go and went over to where Waliyha was snickering. “What are you wearing tonight?” I asked her quietly. “New dress I bought. It’ll work, I think, I’m not sure though. It’s my first time.” “Of course it’ll work! Don’t worry about it. I got you,” I winked at and signaled her to go get her things. I can’t risk anyone finding out what we’re planning on doing. After a few more hours, yes hours, of pointless talking, the girls and I decided that we’re going to a club Blaze that Aaroosa is really fond of. My parents were staying with the Malik’s so I said a quick goodbye and tried to leave. Safaa had decided to go to a movie with a few other cousins so she wasn’t left alone. Bye the time all the goodbyes were said, it was 7:30. Trisha Aunty insisted that we eat dinner before we leave. She wanted to spend more time with us before we left tomorrow. I was freaking out. “I thought you were going to dinner?” Zayn asked me. Now all eyes were on me. “You are?” Trisha aunty asked.  “Well, um…” I didn’t know what to say. I was lost of words. “They were planning on it but then decided to stay and join Safaa for a movie,” Jazade said. I gave him a nod which he returned. If Zayn was skeptical before, he was suspicious now.
