Chapter 8 - Scared of the dark

Laura's PoV
As Ross and I began to pull away , I began to smile and so did Ross. I never thought I'd be able to call Ross my boyfriend but now I can. We looked at each other for a moment before Ross lifted the laptop lid up so we could see everyone else.

Rydel- * fangirling *

Ratliff- Rydel calm down!!!

Rydel- How can I calm down!! Everyone's been waiting for this for like forever!!!

Vanessa- True, I mean Laura is always talking about how amazing Ross is.....

Laura- VANESSA!!!!!!

Vanessa- Woops I forgot I wasn't supposed to tell anyone

Ross- Awww *wraps his arms around Laura*

Ellen & Stormie- Is it too early to start planning the wedding?

Ross- Yes!!! Besides you made the rule that we can't get married till we're at least 20 and neither of us is 20!!! ( I know they are actually 20 but I have birthday chapters coming up so just go with it)

Stormie- Oh I forgot well you know in a few months you'll both be 20 soooo......

Ross- No!!!! We literally just started going out! jeez!

Ellen- Alright. Anyway when are you going to tell the fans that you're a couple?

Laura- Not yet, i mean you know how crazy the Raura shippers are , I mean they went crazy when they found out we were going to Australia together. If we told them we were a couple I think they might just explode with excitement!

Ross- exactly like Rydel did

Rydel- Hey!!!!

Ross- Its only the truth

Laura- Well we have to go I can hear Kevin and Heath shouting us.

Ross's PoV
After we ended the video chat me and Laura went to see what Kevin and Heath wanted.

Ross- Sup

Kevin- Ok some stuff has been rescheduled so you guys still have the meet and greets but you also have a couple of interviews to.

Laura- Alright, but won't that mean the schedule is a bit tight?

Heath- Yeah that's what we wanted to talk about. So to make this all fit you guys are gonna have to leave here tomorrow morning at 4:40am.

Ross- Ok I think we can manage that. Wait what time does are flight leave?

Kevin- Around 11pm, so we'll arrive home at 11pm too. ( I have no idea if that's correct ) So tomorrow's going to be along day.

Ross- Well we better be going to bed soon

We both began going back to are room. Just as I was about to close the door Kevin said....

Kevin- Ross, Laura? *smiles* Congrats on becoming a couple

Laura- *blushing slightly whilst smiling* Thanks

Laura's PoV

I closed the door and Lent back on it. Then turned to Ross.

Laura- How did they know?

Ross- I don't know maybe they were listening in on us? Or maybe one of are parents told them?

Laura- Probably. Anyway I'll see you In the morning

Ross- Night Laura

Laura- Night Rossy

---------- A couple of hours later ----------

Laura's PoV

I was laid in my bed unable to sleep. I rolled over and looked at the bedside clock, it was 11:52. I'm so tired yet I can't sleep. Click. The power went out. Great! Now I'm never going to be able to sleep. I sat up and wrapped my blanket around my shoulders. It was pitch black. " I really hate the dark" I muttered under my breath. The dark terrifies me, I got up with the blanket still around my shoulders and quietly padded across the room to the door and peered round it. Ross was laying in bed, staring at his phone screen.

Laura- *whispering* Ross...... Ross.......Rossy

Ross- Hey Laur what's up?

Laura- Can I come sleep with you? Please

Ross- Sure, are you ok?

Laura- *shakes her head*

I walked over to Ross's bed and he lifted up the covers so I could join him. He immediately wrapped his arms around me, and I snuggled up to him.

Ross- what's wrong?

Laura- it's going to sound babyish but I'm scared of the dark.

Ross- it's not babyish everyone is scared of something

Laura- I know but it sounds like one of those fears that you have when you're like 5

Ross- no it doesn't, anyway why didn't you tell me earlier?

Laura- I don't know I thought you'd think I was stupid of being scared of the dark

Ross- You're not stupid, you're the most smart, beautiful and talented person I know. Well now that you have told me it means that when ever there's a power cut or its dark I can be there for you.

Laura- thanks Ross

Ross- You're welcome

Laura- What were you doing on your phone?

Ross- I couldn't sleep so I was playing on a game

Laura- Oh why couldn't you sleep?

Ross- I don't know

Ross's PoV

I watched Laura as she curled up next to me. She so adorable I'm so glad that Rydel made me ask Laura to be my girlfriend. I lent down and kissed her on the forehead, I watched as a small smile appeared on her face. I'm the luckiest guy in the whole world to have Laura as my girlfriend. Then like that I fell asleep, turns out I couldn't sleep because I needed Laura by my side.

Authors note- For the record I'm scared of the dark and no fear is babyish. And thanks for the 700+ reads it really means a lot to me. Like I said earlier I have some birthday chapters coming up soon and possibly a Halloween chapter because I want to try and keep the story close to reality and Laura's birthday is in November and Ross's is in December. So maybe some Christmas stuff too? Who know? ;)
