Freefall - An oc angst fic

Why are we here?

A man stood wearily at a grave. It read, 'Violet ___. 2018-2022. Unknown cause of death.' He felt sorry for what had happened to his daughter. It all happened so.. suddenly. Kenzo glances around, nobody else is at the graveyard, nor is anyone else accompanying him at the funeral. Violet was only 4, in preschool. Pricks. Ken bent down, his medium, dusty blonde hair falling over his shoulder. He placed a flower next to Violet's tombstone before strolling away, tears welling up in his eyes. Hours later, he's in the basement. Destroying equipment. Then he had an idea. If he makes everyone suffer for what happened to Violet, they'd all know what he's going through... It's GENIUS! "Oh... I need that orb." He mumbled, pulling out a map of the underworld from his drawer. Why does he have this? Good question! Zo is actually from the underworld himself, but that's not important. He traces his finger along the map, suddenly stopping and placing the map back down. His finger pins the map to the desk.

"There it is, right where I left it." He had 'recently' gotten fired from the council, but that's not going to stop him from stealing something he created-- Right?? He used a thumbtack to pin it down entirely, taking a picture of it on his phone.

"Okay, so all I need to do is steal an orb that I created!.. Fun."
Timeskip to it was finally the day. Kenzo made his way to a deep, but narrow well. He first dropped a rope down, then he tied the rope to his waist. Kenzo crossed his arms, sitting on the edge of the well. He free-fell backward, into the well. Suddenly, a flash of red, white, and (blue/j) black appeared, and he was now laying on his back. He made it to the underworld. He stood up, walking through the forest of forgotten souls. Once he reached the center of the forest, he dropped his bag. Pulling on a disguise.  Why did he need it? Of course, the very needed, and also quite dangerous orb that he created, was being guarded. Kenzo walked up in his disguise, toward the orb "Woah! Stop right there! What exactly do you think you're doing?" One of the guards shouted, pointing his spear at him. "Council Member Edward sent me to collect the orb, I hope it's not a bad time?"

"Edward? Didn't that guy go get married to an earthing? What a wimp..! Anyways, just take the orb and bring it to the guy." "..Thank you" Kenzo grabbed the orb, shoving it in his bag before running off. He ran until he came back to where he started, a well. Kenzo threw his bag down, jumping down into the well. "Finally, I have what I need, now I can destroy Avroid city, and everyone in it!"
