New Years Kiss

"Sir, can we take off today?" Moxxie asked while hugging Millie a little. "Why?" Blitz looked up from the horse figurines in his hands. "Well, it's New Year's Eve."

"The fuck?" Blitz seemed confused by what he said. "New Years Eve. It's a tradition in the human world." Blitz looked at the calendar. "Your coming back on Tuesday, right?" Moxxie and Millie nodded. "Okay..
go on."

"Blitz, Stolas is up front." Loona popped in and smirked at him. "Uhhhh..." He put the horse figurines in his drawer and fixed his suit. "Is he mad?" He asked Loona in a hurry. "M&M, go home." He shooed them off, making the two smaller imps scurry away. "He doesn't seem mad. In fact he seems kinda weird.. like the old days." Blitz gained confidence. "Oh. I know how to deal with that."

"Can you not be loud in your office? I don't wanna hear that." Blitz swatted at Loona playfully. "Loony!" He walked up to Stolas. "Hey.."

Stolas looked with starry eyes, straight into Blitz's. "Do you wanna go somewhere with me?" Blitz felt a urge to smirk back at the prince. "Uh sure.." His tail twisted with curiosity and excitement. Stolas rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry this is a bit unexpected. I just.. saw something and thought you'd like it."

Blitz chuckled a little. "Oh, yea. We can go wherever." Stolas made a portal with his hands, looking back briefly at Blitz. "It's in the human world." Blitz jolted himself awake, preparing himself. "Okay. Let's go."

The two walked in together. Blitz opened his eyes to see a grassy cliff with a whole city in front of them. Stolas walked out onto the ground and sat down. Blitz followed. He pulled out his phone and put on a clock. "It's a New Year thing." He smiled at Blitz. "A what?"

"On the day before the new year, humans celebrate it with people they care about and love." Blitz smiled a little weakly. "Speaking of that.. you've taught me a lot Blitz." Stolas stared at the fireworks in the sky. "Other than my daughter, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Stolas looked over at him with big red eyes, filled with tiny tears. "Remember when we got into that spat and you told me you're Mom told you that you couldn't ever go to bed angry?" Blitz smiled a little at the fact he remembered. "At Ozzie's, I wasn't angry at you. Just confused. It was a long depression I was put into." Stolas sighed with a optimistic glint in his eyes.

"You should never go to bed confused or in an argument. So.. I wanna start the new year with us just.. existing together." Blitz looked at the ground, trying to hide the pool of tears in his eyes. "I want to start over." Blitz replied. "I feel like if we put enough elbow grease into it, we could do it."

Stolas looked down at the clock. It read 11:58. "Have you ever heard of a New Years kiss?" Blitz shook his head no. "You wanna try it out, feathers?" Ah, there it was.

A confident tone in his lovers voice. It was a mischievous and cocky tone that Blitz usually talked in when he was comfortable or being playful with people he loved. It was something Stolas adored and it almost felt nostalgic to finally head it again. "Yes. I'd love that."

The clock counted down, as the two faced each other.  As several fireworks exploded in the sky, they kissed. It was the realest kiss either had ever felt, and it made them smile and laugh a little when the kiss ended. "Happy New Year, Blitzy."
