Chapter 5 | Halloween

Harry's POV

It had been a month since Harry arrived at University in London. It was now fall, and Harry walked out of the pet shelter he worked at, telling Jade and Leah he'd see them at the Halloween party held at their friends, Ashton, Luke, Michael and Calum's house later that evening.

It was around five o' clock as Harry walked down the street, putting in his earphones. He loves all the seasons, but fall had always been his favorite. He finds it so beautiful, the way the leaves of the trees change color from lush green to beautiful shades of red and orange, he found it so mesmerising, the way the leaves danced in the wind as they fell to the ground.

Fall was the season of jumpers and cosy blankets, scarfs, pumpkins, Halloween and hot chocolate by the fireplace, it was comforting. The bell rang as he walked into The Coffee Express, ordered a hot chocolate and a cookie, and chose a seat by the window, resting his head against the cool surface as he listened to the soft music playing through his earphones while he waited for Louis and Zayn to get there.

He pulled out his book from his bag and started working on his essay that was due on Monday as he waited, softly humming along to the music. He looked up minutes later and smiled as he saw Debbie set down his hot chocolate and cookie on the table. He gestured for her to take a seat.

"Hey" She said. "Hi" Harry pulled out his earphones. "You coming to the party?" She asked, making small talk "Yeah I'm super excited!" He grinned "I'm gonna be a vampire"

"Cool, I'm going to be Jessie, from Toy Story" She replied. "I think you'd make a great Jessie, especially because you have the same hair" "Yeah"

The bell dinged and Harry looked up to see Louis and Zayn walking over. He smiled when Louis took the chair beside him. "Hi" he greeted. "Hey" Louis smiled at him while adjusting his chair and god, teach him how to breathe again.

"You okay?" He asked him "Yeah" Harry replied, flushing under the attention. "I'm so ready to get drunk tonight" He groaned. "Same" Zayn dropped his head into his arms on the table.

Harry passed his half empty cup of hot chocolate and cookie to Louis and Zayn "You look like you need it" he chuckled. Louis smiled up at him, in awe of this boy. He almost leaned in to kiss Harry's cheek in thanks but stopped himself at the last minute. 'get a grip on yourself, Tomlinson.  He's not even into you,'  He thought. "I think we should go, if we want to get ready in time. I've got a lot of face paint to put on" He said instead, minutes later as Harry was packing up his bag

Everyone was now in either their or someone else's apartments, getting ready for the party, running around in half complete costumes. Harry had worn his costume already, its pretty simple as he's a vampire.

He walked into the girls flat "Can someone help me with my face paint?" He asked, walking into the living room where he saw Julia in a queen of hearts costume doing Louis' face paint. "Hi Haz" He smiled "Don't move" She scolded "Sorry" he muttered "Stay still for god's sake!" Julia, scolded again, frustrated, "If you move one more time, I'll be off with your head" She said and Harry smiled. "Leah can you help me with my face paint?" He asked as she walked into the room in a short pink dress looking like a clone of barbie.

"Sure, sit down" She said, pulling a small stool for herself to sit on while Harry at on the couch. "Your costume looks great by the way" He said, sitting on the couch "Thank you! Do you have face paint?" She asked, Harry help up the paint. "What do you want me to do?" She asked "Um..Just make my face a little pale and make it look like a vampire?" He said, unsure
