(the song really fits in, especially in the later half of this chapter)

Fuck, my head hurts...
Did they tie you up again?
You opened your eyes to see nothing but darkness.
Were you actually dead this time?

You attempted to move your arm, struggling against something cold and hard.
Nope, probably tied up again.

"Can you guys atleast take the blindfold off?"

Your voice alone resounded throughout the room.
It was still relatively warm, you figured they tied you inside the pod again.
If you really were alone... Hm, no, you would do a little test.

"Memories broken, the truth goes unspoken, I've even forgotten my name!"
"I don't know the season or what is the reason I'm standing here holding my blade!"
"A desolate place! Without any trace! It's only the cold wind I feel!"

Something inside the pod starting tapping the floor. Looks like V was still here.
"It's me that I spite as I stand up and fight! The only thing I know for real;"
Her foot picked up the pace, tapping increasingly in annoyance.
"There will be BLOOD! SHED! The man in the mirror nods his head!"
"The only on-"

V: "SHUT UP!"

You sighed

"Well, atleast I'm not alone."

V: "Yeah, and it's great being stuck with you."

J: "What's going on, V?"

V: "He's singing again."

"Can I at least see?"

J: "V can't aggravate you if you're blind and tied to the walls with metal."

"True."

You attempted to see through the blindfold, but only darkness met your gaze.
Struggling a little bit, attempting to free yourself from your binds, but this time she bounded your legs and arms.

"There's a reason you're keeping me alive, right, J?"

J: "Now why would I tell my captive my plan for him?"

"..."

"You guys don't need me awake, right?"

There was a silence in the room for a minute.

"Take that as a yes."
With your head in pain and your thoughts in disarray, you instead decided to head back to sleep.

(A few hours later~)

You yawned loudly, coming back to what senses you had left.
Wasn't the best sleep, considering you slept horizontally, tied with twisted metal to the wall, but sleep was sleep. Still blinded. Bored by the nothing-ness, you attempted to go to sleep once more but one noise intruded your thoughts. A loud clank emanated from the roof of the pod.
There wasn't any movement from inside the pod, so V and J probably left.

N: "Look, we're just gonna get him, and then leave!"
Uzi: "It's probably a good thing he's chained up!"
We're they... Trying to rescue me?
N: "I-i... I sold him out, I can't just leave him there!"
Glad to see some form of remorse.

The pod door opened, the cold air filling the room.

N: "There he is! I'll just be a second."

Uzi: "Are you sure about this?! He's crazy!"

N: "I admit, he can be like V sometimes bu-"

"Don't you dare compare me to her."

Some shuffling came across, eventually getting closer.
All of a sudden, you could see! Wahoo!
N stood with your blindfold, trying to pry the metal off of you.
After some fiddling, he finally managed to get you free.
You landed on your knees.
"Ah, freedom at last."

You clenched your fist in barely repressed rage.

N: "X, are you ok?"

"Oh, J. Now dawns thy reckoning. "

"And thy gore shall GLISTEN before the temples of man! "

Uzi shook in fear, while N hesitantly extended a hand to help you up.

"Creature of steel. My gratitude upon thee for my freedom. "

You stood up alone, looking at N.

"But the crimes thy kind have committed against me, are NOT forgotten."

N froze, hand still extended.

"And thy punishment..."

"Is DEATH! "

You pushed off of the wall of the pod, punching N in the middle of his screen.

"JUDGEMENT."

His body flew like a ragdoll through the open pod door, his body kicking up snow when he landed. Uzi slowly turned her head to look at you.

Uzi: "You don't really mean that, right?"

"Oh no, of course not, I just wanted to try that."

N stood up, reeling in both shock and pain.

N: "Biscuits..."

The massive crater in his head filled with metal, eventually turning back as if nothing had happened.

"You brought that upon yourself."

N: "I'm really sorry! I.. Just... V asked so nicely and..."

You sighed deeply.

"You can have your intimate moment with V later, but she and J are probably coming back."
N blushed deeply, looking away.

"Uzi, lead the way."

Uzi silently started walking, so you just followed her.
N followed suit, looking around at the nearby buildings instead of meeting your gaze.
The pale white snowdrift softly and almost relaxingly crunched under your feet, even though you still were covered in your own blood, and maybe a little bit of oil. Right now, you had multiple very large cracks in both your suit, and your helmet. An amalgamation of dried blood and small flecks of oil clung to your suit, you well and truly were a mess.

Uzi: "So... X, it isn't really a secret anymore?"

"Wonder what the bunker guys are gonna say."

A frigid breeze sweeps through the city, chilling you to the bone.
Without your suit as intact as it was before, it stung even more.
Your eyes drifted to the stars above.
What human deserved such a fate?
To be left on a planet, thousands of kilometers away from any other humans.
You never really thought about it.
There we no humans at all.
Just you, and the robots.

Could.. You really just keep going?
You were so insignificant, a small spec, alone on a planet that most people didn't know existed.
Though, the isolation from other humans only drove you further.
With nobody around to judge you, you could do what you wanted to without fear.
Sure, you were just beaten, but you could do anything you wanted to.

No taxes, no wage, no job.
Though, that itself was funny, you were sent here for a job, which you just kind of tossed aside.
Finding the light and humor in your situation, you stopped walking and laughed.
Uzi turned around, looking extremely concerned, mainly for her own safety though.

N: "Are you ok?"

"Ah, just..."
You paused.
"Don't mind me, just thought of something funny."
...
"Don't just stand here, keep going."

You trudged through the snow once more.

Eventually, your trio ended up infront of the steel doors once more.
With another 3 taps, the door opened a crack, two curious eyes looking out once more
He scanned the 3 of you, coming to a stop on you.

WDF1: "Is he a..."
Puzzled and bewildered, he shut the door, talking to his friends.

WDF1: "He's a human!"

WDF2: "What are you talking about?

WDF3: "Did you have too much to drink last night?"

WDF1: "I'm not playing with you! Look, I'll open the door a little bit and see for yourself."

After hearing this, you laid down on the snow in front of the door, so that when they opened it a little bit, they couldn't see you.

WDF2: "See? It's just N and Uzi!"

WDF3: "You're a lightweight, man."

WDF1: "But I swear! He was just..."

One of them was fed up with his "bullshit" opened the door fully, so you got up and got inside along with N and Uzi.

WDF1: "Right there..."

They were stunned, not moving a muscle.
(Also, when you got hit by J, it cracked a hole in your helmet's screen, so now people can see one of your eyes.)
You peered around the room. Whenever you focused on one of them, they quickly looked at something else in the room.

"Alright Uzi, lets go!"

Walking through the halls, drones looked onwards with fear, intrigue, and confusion.
You just hummed a happy tune, contempt.
After some more looks and oddities, you finally ended back to Uzi's dorm room.

"Alright, I'm gonna hit the sack, goodnight."

You simply flopped onto Uzi's bed and tried to sleep.

Uzi: "I... You..."

N shrugged and played around with Uzi's laptop (Let's just say they have those)
Uzi put her palm to her face and sighed deeply.

With a slight blush on her face, she laid down on the bed-side opposite you. N was far too busy trying to figure out what a dog is to be bothered.

And so, with your temperature now back to normal, you fell into sleep once more.
