"The tagger is on the move."

You looked down at your phone and back up, trying to spot any signs of the tagger. "Who was that just now? The man you waved to?"

"An acquaintance," Chishiya answered.

Just then, the sounds of trumpets playing echoed in the building, catching everyone's attention. Near the central area of the building, the elevator had began ascending up the levels, stopping on the 6th level.

Everyone in the building froze in suspense or simply waited as the sound of footsteps echoed in the silence of the night. You noticed Arisu, Karube and Nitobe wandering on the 5th floor, opening the different doors to find the safe-zone.

"Are they your new friends?" Chishiya asked, looking at them as well.

"Acquaintances," You smiled at him as you repeated his answer from before. "I was with them in my first game and I just decided to stay."

Chishiya hummed again as he looked away, "Come with me after this."

"Where to?" You tilted your head.

"The Beach," Chishiya answered. "It's where I'm staying. That acquaintance of mine is also from the Beach. His name is Aguni."

"Is that why you have a blue tag around your wrist?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Seems like you're still as sharp as ever," He muttered.

You chuckled and looked back at the building. A strong gust of wind passed by then, and your body shuddered as goosebumps formed on your skin. Unfortunately, you were only wearing a t-shirt, cargo pants and combat boots.

Chishiya glanced at your shivering figure, but you didn't look at him. You didn't want him to think you were weak just because of the cold night.

"Come here," He spoke, putting you out of your short trance.

You turned to look at him and saw his right arm extended out to you. You gave him a confused look and he gave you a blank stare.

"You're cold. I'm warm. Get the connection?" He sarcastically asked you. His jacket was unzipped and you saw the white shirt he had been wearing underneath it.

You rolled your eyes before you moved closer. You wrapped your arms around his torso and placed your head in the crook of his neck, leaning on him while he wrapped the right side of his jacket around your body, holding it down with his right arm on your side.

"Better?" He asked, looking down at your head.

"Mhm," You nodded. "Thank you, Shiya."

He didn't respond but you knew he silently accepted your thanks. The two of you watched as people wandered around while there was still no sign of the tagger.

"Three minutes have passed."

Seconds after, the sound of a gun firing was finally heard. The tagger had made their first kill. You looked interested now as the game was finally starting for real.

The crack of the gun being shot repeatedly echoed once again and you heard faint shouting. You could've sworn you heard Karube yell out Arisu's name.

You took notice of movements on the first floor. It was Nitobe and another participant. Behind Nitobe, however, was the tagger.

"The tagger's wearing... a horse mask?" You asked, letting out a chuckle.

"How cute," Chishiya muttered, but you didn't know if it was about the tagger wearing a horse mask or you chuckling.
