"Could you pass me the scalpel?"

You looked at Ann and quickly searched for the scalpel, passing it to her while she continued to dissect yet another person.

"Why are you here?" She asked, focused on her work. "Not that I'm complaining, but you're always with Chishiya."

"I figured he'd needed some space from me," You told her and sighed. "A guy like him isn't the type to like girls who cling themselves onto them. Although I wished I could do everything I wanted to him, he's still warming up to me despite the months we spent together before this."

"So you do like him," Ann stated. "Does he like you back?"

"Probably not," You shrugged. "He'd tell me that he has no time for romance, especially not in a world like this."

"But isn't it exactly because we're in the world like this that you should tell him your feelings?" She retorted. "You never know. One of you could get shot and nearly die and you wouldn't have known that the other person liked you."

"I don't know, Ann," You replied. "It just isn't time yet."

Ann let out a hum, "Alright. But don't take too long or you'll miss your chance."

You were still with Ann when Hatter made his night speeches just before the games. Ann insisted that you stayed up with the rest of the executives, and as usual, Chishiya was on the ground floor with others.

"Nice of you to join us tonight, Y/N," Mira smiled at you as Kuzuryu stood next to her. "I've longed to play a game alongside you!"

"I'm sure we'll get that chance soon, Mira," You assured her with a timid smile. "However, tonight, I will be following Ann."

Mira let out a pout as she looked at Ann and you, "What a shame. I was hoping I could borrow our Y/N soon."

"She said next time, Mira," Ann repeated. "Come along Y/N. We'll have to overlook a newcomer's trial."

"Oh?" You muttered in surprise as you followed Ann downstairs. "I wasn't informed that we had newcomers."

"They just came in earlier today," She informed you. "A guy and a girl. Mira and Kuzuryu found them and brought them in."

"They always seem to be together," You muttered under your breath. And I've got a bad feeling about them too.

The two of you were on the ground floor, about to head outside to the cars when a hand suddenly grabbed yours. You turned around and saw that it was Chishiya whom had done.

"Ann," You called her as she came to a stop. She looked back and noticed Chishiya then.

"Mind if I borrow her?" Chishiya asked with a tilt of his head and a small smirk.

"Make it quick," Ann glared at him and waited outside the building for you.

"What is it, Chishiya?" You asked him and removed your hand from his.

"Ouch, so cold," He frowned at you and he moved to keep his hands in the pocket of his jacket. "Why have you been avoiding me?"

"Seriously?" You gave him a look and turned away from him, making your way to Ann. "Is that all? I'm leaving."
