Chapter 12

A few days passed and today was Thanksgiving. The two spent the previous night at his moms house so that they could wake up early and start helping prepare the food and still have time to go home, get ready, then come back.

Mariah woke up with Taurus holding her  in one arm as he was watching videos on his phone in his other hand.

"Good morning beautiful," he kissed her forehead.

"Good morning baby." She cuddled into his arms more than she was.

Afterwards, she got up and went to start getting ready and go downstairs to help cook.

"Good morning baby," Stacia hugged Mariah and gave her a bright smile. "I'm so happy you're here. Now all I need is my other daughter here."

"I missed you!" Mariah smiled.

"Why you never talk to me like that?" Taurus asked his mom as he laughed.

"Boy, shut up, don't lie on me like that." His mom laughed as she playfully through a napkin at him. "Did Leilani tell you when she'll be here?" She asked him.

"She said at 11, but her ass gone show up late on purpose so she ain't gotta help cook nothing."They all laughed.

Leia came downstairs into the kitchen rubbing her eyes and with her bear in her hands. She walked up to give her mom a hug and then Mariah.

"Damn, y'all acting real different. Y'all love my girl more than me."

Mariah looked at Taurus with her eyes widened because she didn't know if his mom knew yet.

"Don't worry baby, I've known before he already told me. I knew because this little girl here said y'all was all up on each other in that room."

"On 'foenem we wasn't doing nothing," he walked over behind Mariah. He put his hands around her hips and rested his head on her shoulder.

"That crazy girl stopped bothering y'all?" Stacia asked.

"For the most part. She still be muggin' me in class, but that don't even mean nothing to me. People be tryna tell me "be careful" with her and shit, but why would I just because Taurus moved on and I wasn't around when it happened. She just want problems and I'm not giving it to her."

"I'm glad you not. I actually never in my life met anyone crazier I don't think. So trust me, if I didn't approve of who my son was dating, you and him would know and she knew." She explained. "But anyway, enough about that shit. Let's get some music on and y'all can just help me cut these vegetables and I'll handle the rest. Lamont will be here in about thirty minutes to help me so y'all can go home and get ready. Then I'ma get you ready Lei," she explained. Lamont was Stacias boyfriend, she'd been dating him for about seven-eight months now.

Stacia turned on some music and they began to get more of the food prepped. Right before Taurus and Ry were about to leave, his older Leilani and her boyfriend, Trey, walked in.

"Hey mommy!" She shouted as she ran up to her moms, giving her the tightest hug then picked up Leia, swinging her around an giving her kisses on her little cheeks. "Wassup Polo G!" She teased before giving him a hug. "Blowing up and shit."

"Y'all need to stop all that cursing." Stacia said.

"My fault ma," she laughed. "And you must be Mariah..." she guessed.

"Yeah, and this my sister Leilani and her boyfriend Trey." Taurus confirmed as he introduced them.

"Just as pretty as he explained and the picture he showed me," she smiled. Leilani gave Mariah a hug, then she waved at Trey. Trey then dapped up Taurus.
